Ah, and it would appear that birthday congratulations are in order for Mr. Hollyfeld! May it be filled with cake that tastes as delicious as Evangeline Lilly looks. From your lips to God's ears, JB! And with the Hobbit out of the way, perchance Ms. Lilly will now come to her senses and realize that Laslo is the dude for her. Thanks again, dude. Quite the happy birthday was had yesterday.

Another birthday... I always seem to miss them... I OBVIOUSLY... need to check the site more often.
Happy Belated from one Gemini to another... I knew I liked you for a reason. * Oh and wrong thread but (I haven't watched the season finale yet so I can't go over there), did a smile come across your face when you saw Lazlo Hollyfeld/ Jon Gries on LOST?
okay----> As to Heroes (the show, not Lazlo & J.B.) : I am not a super huge fan of the show... I think it could be much better and its pace is too slow much of the time. I didn't hate the finally, but it sure wasn't very "explosive" for a show that's been built up around a pending explosion, if you know what I mean.
In anycase... I'll be watching it next season to see if gets more exciting.
** I dvr'd both Veronica Mars and Lost... gotta watch them today. From your comments.. looks like I'm gonna be let down by VM, luckily I know without reading anyone's comments that LOST is going to kick booty.

I have to agree with TG, I like the idea of Heros and the characters, but IT JUST BOTHERS me that they seem to take FOREVER to decide to do something and then when they do, they end up having to decide the decision ALL OVER AGAIN. And Hiro is REALLY annoying me -- I know he has technically "all the time in the world" but he is SO SLOW. and WHY can't the bad guy EVER be totally destroyed? I was actually yelling at the tv -- CHOP OFF HIS HEAD ALREADY! And WHY is it such a big deal to shoot Peter in the head? Just wait a bit and then pull the bullet out. He'll be fine -- really -- he can regenerate. Whatever. I'll still be watching next season and yes, I'm aware of the fact that I have issues.

FieryMaid, if you have issues, then so do I! Except, Hiro doesn't bother me. He annoys Mr. C so much though, that he was actually happy every time it looked like he was about to be killed off.
"I'll tell you who the real heros are...Hiro from Heros. Also, Bono."

I am completely hooked on this show. I tried to resist at first, but my brother and sister sucked me in. Peter is great as well as Matt. Niki / Jessica needs to go - her story is useless. Clare has a cool storyline and Peter and Nathan's mother creeps me out. I can't wait for next Monday !

I like the Niki/Jessica character they just don't DO anything with it. Yeah, that mom is creepy and I wonder what her power is....
I'm waiting for the season premiere.

Me and my friends are speculating that Petrelli-mom's power is to "influence" (or comfort) the mind of people she touches. I was a bit skeptical about it, until i reviewed all episodes, and g@é(")! you just have to see it.
Every time Nathan is doubting his actions or starts to question it, along comes mommy, talks a bit, touches him on the shoulder or back, and you can see his face change (good acting, if it's true) and you see him getting his beliefs back and getting comfort.(*)
You can see this happen with Claire as well, and 1 char i don't remember.
In short, we think she can alter people's perception/mind with touch ..
(*) I know it's a mother's duty to comfort or support her son etc blah blah, and that he might change his mind back because she's being supportive... but just watch some episodes again, and take notice of the moment she touches someone (also watch out for gloves she wears) .. please comment .. i wanne see if more people notice ..

hmmmmm. You probably have something with that. Well, I saw the premiere and I'm just not sure I'm happy....all these new characters are great and everything, but we didn't see many of the old ones....and while I think Hiro is cute and everything HE IS SO INEPT.

I'm already starting to lose interest. The Hispanic brother and sister totally reek of being the Heroes version of Nikki and Paulo from Lost. And a whole episode without Jessica/Nikki? I also don't like the direction they're going with Claire and the teenage romance with tool-boy. Great, that's all this show needs - some CW-esque love stories. Somebody please tell me why they can't come up with a more interesting way for bad guys to take out the good guys than running at them? Couldn't George Takei just, you know, have fallen down or jumped to the side? The guy's a master swordsman, so I think he could figure out a way to combat the some dude running towards him. "Let's see, I'm standing perilously close to the edge of a very tall building, and someone is running at me full speed with every intent to kill me. What should I do? Hmm, I know! I'll just stand here!" Quite frankly, the season premiere bored me.

I'm worried that Heroes, as brilliant as it was for that first season, has already run out of steam.

I'm worried that Heroes, as brilliant as it was for that first season, has already run out of steam. Episode 2 came and went and we still had no Jessica/Nikki or Veronica Mars. Not good. I'm not sure I like where they're going with Hiro. He looks to be a huge source of comic relief this season. So far he's been almost cartoonish. Here's the thought for the day: So when Irish dude holds Peter's box over the fire and threatens to drop it if Peter refuses to help him then, um, why didn't Peter just say, "OK, I'll help," wait for dude to put the box down, and THEN use his powers on the guy? Lazy writing.

Veronica Mars joins the cast sometime this month. Jessinikki and the boy (what's his name again? Let's call him Walt. Heh) were in the previews for next week, so hopefully they'll be used well.
And I agree with you about Peter. Though, I don't think it's so much lazy writing as really incompetent writing. They need to get Peter to do bad things for some reason, but the method is just not working.

Exactly what i was thinking. Peter did have "some" of his memory (of powers) back .. so get that dewd and the box out of the fire with a shwoong against the wall and get your d**n box back and leave, wtf. Where the hell did that box come from anyway I was just waiting for the moment where Hiro would act as he was Kensei .. SO predictable.. I hate the Claire - Dull Boy story line.. there we go again with the whole "i have to keep a secret, but someone knows and now i have to pretend" story-line-sh#t :/ I hope they pick up the pace ..

Yeah... so far, I've really only had one moment of raised eyebrow/ semi-interest:
(I will reinact that thought process for you now... free of charge)
It went something like this:
"Hmm... looks like Peter has been working out."
