Well, I've given this show a couple more tries, and I have to admit that it is growing on me a bit. Not enough to plan my Monday nights around it, but enough that if it's on, I'll probably watch it.
For me, my opinion started to change when they began showing the "heroes" using their powers for their own gain--something that real people would do. Especially last night, when the cop who could read minds used that power to know what his wife was actually thinking. I turned to my wife and said "Now that's the first really practical power I've seen yet." She replied, "Yeah, but that's how you know this show is totally a fantasy."
Truer words...

I'm still not hooked on this show, but I haven't given up on it yet. I feel it is crawling too slowly to it's final destination, and I hate how it repeats so much -- wasting time so they don't have to film as much. Sheesh. But I do like the characters......

I gotta say I'm hooked; as the characters meet each other and interact it gets more interesting. The Japanese dudes are the most fun - they provide some comic relief. Monday night is good television for me - Hereos and then Studio 60 - I know they are thinking of canning Studio 60 but I like it - it's fast paced and funny.

I like Studio 60, too. I wouldn't cry if it went away, but I've enjoyed it so far.

Anyone who saw this past episode of Heroes (*the episode in which the cheerleader's secret is exposed) and would like to tell me how it ended, feel free to IM me.
The time clock must have been off or previous show must have run over, because the dvr cut off and the show was not over yet. Very irritating. I think I only missed out on the last 5-10 minutes of the show.
*please note this is how it was touted in the previews, so please no grumblings/ not reporting me for "spoiling" any plot points. smile.

Anyone who saw this past episode of Heroes (*the episode in which the cheerleader's secret is exposed) and would like to tell me how it ended, feel free to IM me. Good news, TG! That episode of Heroes will air on the Sci-Fi Channel this Friday at 6:00 PM Central. If you don't manage to catch it then feel free to let me know what the last thing you saw was and I can try to recap from that point.

Okay, this show is finally getting interesting! I'm still not hooked (that would be House) but I am very much interested. I agree with LH, it is very cool when people use their powers intelligently and practically. Very nice.

Anyone else think Hiro's dad has got the same ability as Niki/Jessica, since they showed his eyes in that sword's reflection (for a tad to long for it not to mean anything) ?

Ooohhh...good theory!
this is my show that I only half watch (because I can't get away from work to actually watch a show - I put in many many overtime hours from home every week), so I missed that.
I can't wait for the season finale. This last episode was so good, and it left off in a good place. Not such a huge cliffhanger that I will be let down when the resolution isn't as huge, but big enough to keep my interest.

Naked, cold, shivering wet from the rain pouring down on me, my cold bare feet in an endless puddle of mud, completely alone... That's how i felt after viewing this season's final of heroes...
There was so much there ... so much potential ..

Trantee, you're not alone in that feeling apparently. I've heard numerous other people that share that view.
I, for one, didn't feel that way though. I may have been the only person who really enjoyed the finale. Was it the coolest thing I've ever seen? No, but then I consider where I began with this show, which is not liking it at all. Slowly, the show grew on me to the point where I am now a legitimate fan.
But I can surely see how some would be disappointed.

I wasn't completely devastated by the finale, but I certainly wasn't blown away. After the huge build up I was greatly disappointed with the confrontation between Peter and Sylar.
I expected a huge epic battle, and when all the other heroes showed up, I thought they'd join in and deliver a brouhaha like nobody's business. Then what happens?
Nikki hits Sylar with a parking meter and then Peter punches him in the face a few times? Then Hiro shows up and does his thing, and that's it?
Ah well, bring on the Lost finale! I'm super-pumped for THAT!

I got to watch this last night. What a disappointing night. First the last episode of Veronica Mars ever ends, and I WANT TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT! Then the Heros finally leaves me disappointed.
I don't know why - I agree that the battle with Syler wasn't as big and exciting as I had hoped, but I just felt like everything about it was off. And then when Syler crawled into the sewer at the end and wasn't really dead (according to Mr. C...I missed that part), that was annoying. I don't even think Syler is a very good villian, and I was ready for his storyline to be wrapped up.
And why did Nathan have to take Peter up into the atmosphere? If Claire had just shot him, he wouldn't blow up, and then he could be healed later. There was no point in what Nathan did, except to kill Nathan off. That bugs me still.

And why did Nathan have to take Peter up into the atmosphere? If Claire had just shot him, he wouldn't blow up, and then he could be healed later. There was no point in what Nathan did, except to kill Nathan off. That bugs me still. Excellent point. I don't think Nathan's dead. My theory is that once he flew to the point where Peter was going to explode, he let him go and then jetted away from the explosion and survived. Then Peter could land and regenerate. But if Nathan's actually dead then I have to determine that he's one of the stupidest superheroes of all time, and the others are nearly as dumb for not offering alternate solutions. Or the writers are just lazy. Also, how could Sylar immediately stop bullets that are flying at him, but he didn't have time to stop or get out of the way of a slow, chubby Chinese kid who yelled out his name before attacking? And, Ms.Cali, I too was disappointed in the Veronica Mars finale. It's obvious that it was designed to be a SEASON finale and not a SERIES finale. I hate unanswered questions lingering out there in the TV cosmos.
