Hmmm.... so, Johnny... have you caught up on season 2 yet???
Ms. Cali.... not watching this season? NO V-Mars discussion, huh?
That's okay... there's too much discussion during the commercial breaks... I hate that.
Just wondering what folks think about season 3 thus far?

Like SV, I have to download this show. I'm enjoying it so far but I don't want any more rape storylines. Enough already! I like that Dick's role has expanded (just.too.many.puns) and he's doing a good job. Veronica is as smart alecky as ever and she carries the show.
I think they're having a hard time putting Weevil, Wallace, Mac and Keith in the show. Axe the new characters and develop them instead.

You have to download it, huh? Does that mean that you get to fore go the stupid aerie or whatever it is group discussion after every show and sometimes during commercial breaks? Cause that round table discussion thing is [glow=red,2,300]UBER ANNOYING!!![/glow] I expected the campus rape story line and since one in five women will likely be assaulted during their stay at college, I'm not that upset by the story line. *This particular story line is obviously different than that with the head shaving, etc...* I do hope that this is NOT going to be the "Big Caper" that takes the entire season to solve though. (fingers crossed). I also agree that Veronica's snappy comebacks and witticisms (<--- you'll have to just go w/ me on that one, ), is indeed what is carrying the show. I too am hoping for some character development. I'm still watching though. *** Waiting to hear from Johnny to see if he's caught up yet or if he's thrown in the towel. ***

Yep, I have to download it or watch it on youtube. I have seen the first 5 episodes but not the round table thing (=whatever it is). I'm already guessing that the rapist will be the creepy teacher or Ed Begley Jr.
I feel that that there has been rape/molestation themes throughout all three seasons and I don't think it's been handled well on any occasion. It's my main criticism of the show. I don't understand why the writers persist with it.

I finished Season 2 last weekend, and I think on the whole I enjoyed it even more than Season 1. There didn't seem to be as many down episodes, and I liked the fact that there was a separate mystery but it still relied on the events of Season 1.
I officially have a crush on Veronica. Man I love her sassy mouth. She would've made a great Southerner.
I have to admit that Logan has gotten better, but his mumbling can get annoying.
I'm almost caught up on Season 3 - I've got one more episode to go. My thoughts...
* Regarding the Aerie nights stuff, all I've heard is them talking about The Gilmore Girls prior to the start of Veronica Mars. Since I've DVR'd all the episodes I haven't really noticed if there was actual discussion during commercial breaks.
Doesn't matter to me, I just fast forward through everything. It doesn't appear to shorten the runtime or anything.
* I've noticed that they've done a very bad job of dubbing the episodes this season. On the special features of the Season 2 DVD set, they said that they film on some location that's near some sort of military compound and that due to noise they sometimes have to dub lines.
It didn't seem all that noticeable before, but now it's just blatant. Sometimes I'll think Veronica is narrating the scene but it'll turn out she's actually having a conversation. It's a little distracting and just makes things seem less polished.
* Like many others, I'm not crazy about the rape storyline. I read that instead of one big mystery, there's supposed to be three smaller mysteries throughout the season. So the rape mystery is supposed to last around seven episodes, and they'll work the other mysteries in accordingly.
However, only 13 episodes have been ordered so far. There's no word yet on whether the CW will order a full season.
That's all I've got for now.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention one thing - I don't like the new slowed down version of the theme song. You could rock out to it during Seasons 1 and 2, but now it sounds like they're playing it at half speed.
BORING! Why change something that works? If I were a loser then I'd start a petition to have it changed back. Thankfully, my overall indifference to such petty causes won't allow me to take such a ridiculous action.

Oh yeah.... thanks for reminding me..... I concur! The Dandy Warhols should be played at full speed.

Oh... and that reminds me that I saw a documentary that revolved around The Dandy Warhols and the Brian Jonestown Massacre that I quite enjoyed. I can't remember the name of the movie except it's a one syllable word. It wasn't any cinematic tour de force or anything... but it was interesting and entertaining. Made you go buy some CDs or download some tunes afterwards.
Anyone know what this documentary is called?

Is everybody still watching ol' V-Mars this season? I kept meaning to mention this but it continually slips my mind - I thought the episode a few weeks ago where Logan had to babysit the little girl was hilarious.
I love the scene where they're all on the elevator and the girl realizes it's Veronica and she gets all excited. "It's her! It's her!" It was especially funny that the girl was wearing one of Veronica's shirts, and it fit her perfectly.
Trust me, if you haven't seen the episode then this makes no sense and you're likely wondering what the big deal is.
Surely one of you gals can bail a brother out. Y'all saw it, right?

Still watch it but it's not as good this season. Have even gone off Logan and want more Dick ;D...and um Weevil. Still love Veronica though am annoyed about Lamb's new status.
What the hell happened to Wallace?

still watching, though it seems to have disappeared ... in place of it I'm getting the girl thingycat Dolls talent search thing.
I was actually enjoying the season. It seems to have been an okay episode followed by one I enjoyed... (repeat this process)
yeah, J.B. I noticed that the shirt fit the little girl... I thought it was funny because I actually go to school with some chicks who wear shirts so small that they fit small children. I don't remember how tight the shirt was on Veronica though... so I can't comment on whether it was social commentary on women's fashions or if it was simply a bizarre production blunder or ... perhaps it's like the "magic" jeans that fit 4 different sized girls in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. My mom is a middle school librarian, so I've seen the movie and am fully aware of the books.
Oh... jeans... reminds me again... Happy birthday to Nikkibluejeans.
Oh.. and as to V-mars... was it canceled or is it on hiatus?

VM is on hiatus...it comes back in May (sob, wail, whine). I don't want to wait that long. Hmmm...my thoughts on the season so far. I didn't care too much for the rape storyline. I just didn't feel like it was very well written or that interesting. I did like the "Who killed the Dean" storyline, and I actually figured out who the killer was for once. I hate that they killed off Lamb, as I thought he was a great character, but they really didn't have much to do with him this season. I do love that Keith is sheriff again though. Hopefully that will enable them to give him more screen time. I miss Wallace too - hopefully he'll have more to do in the final episodes. And for the record? I LOVE the new slowed down theme song. I think it fits the college vibe of the show really well.
