While he is a jerk, Robert Downey Jr is a good actor, so that's why I'm not completely dumping Iron Man off my check out list. So, there aren't any obsessive compulsive insane people??? To me, the immaculate appearance makes him more creepy.

Saw the trailer for The Dark Night at the cinema today for the first time... f$^&ing h3ll - very devastating to watch, Heath Ledger's just so d**n good in it. I don't know if they recut the trailer after his death or had skewed it for Australian audiences, but Christian Bale's edits were very bland in comparison to Heath's. Also today saw Juno (well written), No Country For Old Men (good, stupid fellow audience members didn't 'get' it at all) and I Am Legend (bloody good, much prefer Will Smith's performance to Charlton Heston's). Yes, three movies (at the movies) in one day - try it sometime, it's fun.

Oh, that is too many movies in one day for me! I've done two in a day before, but seeing as I can barely sit through one these days, I will let you have the three in one day all to yourself. LOL.
Mr. C really liked I Am Legend (only one you saw that I haven't seen yet). I liked the other two a lot - they were my top two movies of the year.

Is The Dark Knight trailer in US/European theatres yet? Has anyone else seen it and if so, what do they think?

The Dark Knight trailer has been in US theaters for quite some time. I've seen it, and I'm looking forward to it. Looks VERY good. I am very sad about Heath Ledger. He was a fine actor -- and I would have greatly enjoyed seeing him carry on the Joker role.

How were you wrong about Iron Man? (quick scroll back and I didn't see anything).

i didnt know how good a movie they could make out of a borderline second tier comic book character. i was thinking daredevil ghost rider level.

Ahhhh...
Mr. C is a pretty big fan of the Iron Man & Avengers comics (and I guess since Civil War he's moved up to first tier? I dunno...I actually read Civil War once it came out in one compilation and didn't see what the big fuss over it was about...but then, I am heartless & evil, and I don't like books with pictures, so...) So I didn't realize he wasn't a major Marvel superhero.
I like him, because he is like Batman, but much less angsty. LOL.

I also like the self-made heros MsCali. I love my brooding Batman and I love my sarcastic Iron Man.

Eh, I hate Batman (except when Christian Bale plays him). He's just too angsty for me. Angst is the same as whiny to me, and I can't handle either in a guy. I also am not a huge fan of Superman (shhhhh...don't tell Mr. C - it's the one thing that might ruin our marriage! LOL). I don't know why I don't like him as much - he's good, but still flawed, but I just really don't care for him.
