Has anyone else watched the trailer for the new X-Men movie yet? I can't wait for it...it opens May 26, 5 days after my wedding...I have to plan my honeymoon around being in a city where it will be released that day (rather than, say Puerto Vallerta, where I was kind of thinking about going, but the movie most likely won't be showing right away). Seriously, Mr. C and I are looking forward to this movie that much (X 2 we went to see it again immediately after our first viewing, then went back to see it again the next day). If it opened May 21, I'd be moving my reception to the movie theater!

Of COURSE I've seen the trailer. I've had this marked on my calendar since Little Jen made out with the poster in the theater when we went to see the Fantastic Four.
For X2, we saw it three times in the theater, once a day for three days. I hope this one lives up to the rest of the series.

The trailer does indeed look good. I'm a little concerned with some of the rumors I've heard though. My biggest fear is that Wolverine's role is being decreased while Storm's will be increased. I sure hope not. The huge Wolverine presence is what made X-2 so stellar.
For now I'm reveling in the excitement of seeing Kate Beckinsale in Underworld: Evolution. This weekend I'll watch Underworld on DVD (incl special features) and then will screen Evolution early next week. Yeah, I'm pumped.

Halle Berry, while indeed hotter than a tamale in July, was one of the weaker cogs in the X-Men vehicle. Wolverine is a much more interesting character, and I think they ought to keep sticking with him as a main focus, especially if this is indeed the last film in the franchise.

Mr. Cali insists she only won her Oscar belatedly for her role as Storm...it's the only reason we could think of that they would give it to her, and even then, she wasn't that good. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Wolverine either...I like him alright, but I could do with less of him in this movie (since he really was a large focus of the first two...let's do something different now). I'm anxious to see how they handle the Jean Gray storyline - I hope they focus quite a bit on that!

I'm a bit worried that Singer isn't directing/writing this one -- but as long as Wolverine is in it I'll see it but he better not take a back seat to Storm. While I love the Storm character, Berry isn't good, and the less we see of her the better. I definately want to see more of Jean Gray and I'd like to see a few more of the characters I've grown to love -- Beast for one! I nearly screamed in surprise when I saw him in the trailer. I don't mind Wolverine's character being toned down a bit, but Wolverine is the favorite for most people so they'd better not overdo it. Besides, Jackson's getting paid a bit, they'll probably want to get their money's worth.

I'm a little worried that there isn't enough Scott/Cyclops in the trailer!

I think the whole movie franchise needs one thing, and one thing only:
MORE COWBELL!

I'm a little worried that there isn't enough Scott/Cyclops in the trailer! Let's hope Cyclops doesn't do the massive amount of whining that he did in the second one. Sheesh. Talk about playing Luke Skywalker to Wolverine's Han Solo.

LOL! Half of the people on the messageboard are probably wondering what that was about. I love that skit.

Heh...Mr. C and I have been quoting that one since the first time it aired...imagine my surprise when I saw a Cowbell t-shirt at Hot Topic and realized the rest of the country (although belatedly) had jumped on the bandwagon. Absolutely the best SNL quote ever. It's all in the deliverly I'm a bit aprehensive about the fact that Brian Singer isn't directing X-Men as well, but I'm hoping it will be every bit as good as the first two. What's really funny is, Singer left X-Men to direct Superman, and I have absolutely no desire to see that (of course, I WILL be seeing it, because it's probably the movie Mr. C is most looking forward to this year, so I won't be mean enough to refuse to go see it...but I really don't particularly want to).

Let's hope Brandon Routh (the new Superman, is that his name?) isn't as monotone in the movie as he was last night on the Golden Globes. He was barely able to read the teleprompter. To be honest, I'm looking more forward to the Wolverine movie than I am X-3. I'll hold out hope, but I'm fearing disappointment. Brett Ratner's biggest claim to fame? The Rush Hour movies. We'll see how that experience translates to a comic book movie...
