I saw a trailer for this recently, and I must say that it has piqued my interest. I was a big fan of the Walter Matthau version back in the day, but seeing Billy Bob Thornton apparently revisiting his Bad Santa persona (albeit a much lighter version) will probably make this all worth it.

Oh man...
I don't understand why Hollywood is revisiting so many classics...
I mean I get it fiscally... the studio saves money by revisiting properties they already own and can ride the brand awareness... gotcha... but come on... Willy Wonka? Herby Lovebug? Bad News Bears? How can they possibly ever improve on those films? Why not spend the time, energy and money giving opportunity to the rise of new voices? If they put half the energy into developing a marketplace for new voices they wouldnt be so dependant on the success of one film a year... case in point... Star Wars...
