Southland Tales 2005 It's supposed to be a "Pulp Fiction-style story in L.A.". I've seen the cast and it seems like it'll be a very interesting film. Richard Kelly is directing who also wrote and directed Donnie Darko. The Box 2005 The premise sounds interesting and it's based on a story by Richard Matheson. Eli Roth is going to direct (Cabin Fever, which I thought was pretty good) and Richard Kelly (again, Donnie Darko ) is going to write the script for it. With these two, I'm really hoping it'll turn out great. Inglorious Bastards 2006 A war movie by Quentin Tarantino. I'm not too overly excited by this, but I think it'll be very interesting to see how he'll handle this. Anyone else have any movies to add...?

Weeeelll.... I am looking forward to "Vanity Fair" with Reese Witherspoon this fall, I think September maybe? and MOST excited for "Phantom of the Opera", scheduled for Christmas this year. I have a feeling VF will let me down a bit though, because from the trailers it looks like they did some weird stuff with the movie- weird costumes and makeup and dancing and it looks like she goes to India or something!! NOT in the story. The BBC/A&E movie series of VF is AWESOME. Done in that epic A&E way on that grainy BBC film. Phantom should be just SPECTACULAR. If anyone has ever shied away from the revamped movie musical (Moulin Rouge, Chicago), PLEASE go out on a limb with this one, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Young, sexy cast with less operatics and more dialogue than the stage show, with bigger and better sets, costumes and effects than anyone is able to do on stage. And everyone does their own singing. Emmy Rossum, who plays the lead Christine, has apparantly been in an opera school since she was 7 or 9 or something like that. She's only 18 I think now. She's just adorable.
