I would just like to say that anyone who goes to a movie on a Tuesday afternoon and gets upset at small children/toddlers/babies attending should just stay home and never go out.
I went to see Shrek 2 at an 8pm showing opening night. I was not happy about the 6 year olds crying to go home (who has small kids out that late? Seriously?). But whenever I am at the movies in the afternoon, I expect there to be noisy children.
That said...who in their right mind takes a BABY to the movies at all? Babies ears are not developed enough to handle how loud movies are (sometimes I think MY ears are not developed enough, and I have bad hearing! If the movie is too loud for me, it is much too loud for infants and very small children).

I so agree with you, Ms. Cali! Babies have no place in the movie theatre. When I saw Rambo, a movie full of loud gun blasts and explosions, there was a woman with a baby sitting in the back. I won't be suprised if that baby has a hearing problem later on down the road.
