Wow.
Well, didn't see quite a few of those that made your list (Date Movie, Grudge 2, Freedomland and See No Evil). And I have no desire to see them either, with the minor exception of Freedomland. If it comes on tv, I will check it out for the reasons of Jackson and Moore.
American Dreamz, When A Stranger Calls, and The Wicker Man I did have the misfortune to see. Horroribly bad, can't say ANYTHING was good about them. And yes, I seriously questioned what I had to be thinking when I said I liked Cage (and then I remembered Gone in 60 seconds, The Rock, Face Off, et all and I got my confidence back).
I did see Casanova and while it wasn't great, I did find it was okay to cute. Sorry you hated it that much, but I disagree this movie should be on the worst of the year list.
The Ant Bully was pretty bad. Don't know WHAT Tom Hanks was thinking but I definately think Happy Feet was worse overall.
The Marine was BAD -- nothing good about that one (not even fights or lines or ANYTHING) and An Inconnvient Truth was FALSE so it sucked as a documentary. They are on my list of worst.
As for dishonorable mention, I didn't see BloodRayne or Lonesome Jim. But Garfield 2 was bad, yet no surprise there as the FIRST one sucked..... I agree with you that UltraViolet should be on the most disappointing list.
My list of most disappointing:
1. X-Men 3 (Ratner needs to give it up to Singer and NEVER touch a beloved comic based movie AGAIN! I will seriously have to HURT him if he even THINKS about touching the Wolverine movie they are going to make. May Hollywood be intelligent (yeah right) and get Singer for it)
2. UltraViolet (plot, people, focus on PLOT and please, decide on your rating BEFORE you shoot the fight scenes. We wanna SEE the fight scenes PG-13 or R, decide what you are going to do and then do it. If you are not sure, shoot PG-13 fight scenes because we WANT TO SEE the action, not the aftermath)
3. Tristan and Isolde (Hollywood, sex does NOT equal love or romance. This could have been an AWESOME action/romance and you blew it. Thanks.)
4. Lake House (again, this could have been SO much better with a bit more tension to spice it up)
5. The Fountain (a little ambiguity is nice, but in MODERATION please).
