- I pass by the biggest known chocolate factory in belgium every day I always hear how great Belgian chocolate is, but I never buy it because it's so expensive in the U.S. Is it normal-priced in Belgium, and is it as great as "they" say? Or have you Belgians been led to believe that Hershey's chocolate rules the world? OH, yeah, baby... it is GOOOOOOOD stuff. The year I spent abroad, I did a one month trip around Europe, and had a few days in Brugges (did I spell that correctly? I'm too lazy to look it up right now) and had some of the best food EVER!!! Went to a restuarant and had I don't know what- but I remember thinking it was one of the best meals I had on my European tour, (three-way tying with the brats/potatoes and beer I had in Germany, and the Spaghetti Carbonara in Rome. ) I had an AMAZING waffle from a street vendor. I can't even describe its perfection. And of course bought tons of chocolate seashells, mostly as gifts for my host family in England. But I did buy a box for myself and they were awesome. Honestley, fellow Americans, Hershey's SUCKS compared to chocolate from... well, pretty much anywhere else. Cadbury's is great, though of course the Cadbury's you can get here is actually manufactured by hershey and therefore not even close to the real quality. Unless you can get it at an import shop. I am so hungry right now....

Cadbury's is soooooooo good (REAL Cadburys...I'm craving Curly Wurley's right now). I'm currently addicted to Leonidas. Now I work right down the street from it, and was having their hot chocolate every morning. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. And they give a free piece of chocolate with their drinks most of the time. And of course, there's so much good chocolate there, you have to buy one or two more pieces. It's an expensive habit. I've actually stopped going there for a while, because those hot chocolates are just too addicting. Ah, I sooooo wish I had gotten good Carbonara in Rome! I had bad Carbonara instead. But I had risotto that more than made up for it! All this talk of European food is making me hungry. I'm currently trying to talk Mr. C into going to the British restaurant for dinner, because now I want bangers & mash!! (oooh...or Bridies...)

I brought in a Johnny Betts 8x10 glossy when I screened Grindhouse. I hi-fived it when Josh Brolin walked onscreen.

I once took in a hipflask full of Benedictine - I was getting a sore throat and Benedictine often kills my colds at the sore throat stage. It was a kid's film I was seeing, and I spent the entire movie surreptitiously sneaking nips from the flask. JB, sorry to read about Stephanie - may you find another someone at least as wonderful as she was.

When I used to go with my cousin to the movies, we had this big diaper bag sized purse that we filled to the brim with candy and it weighed about 10 pounds. It was fun until she dropped it on my foot. When we were younger, we saw Titanic, and she got the idea to do hot buttered popcorn in ziploc bags. That was cool, but she made me put them in my pockets, and the butter melted the bag. My pants smelled for a week!

Or have you Belgians been led to believe that Hershey's chocolate rules the world? I can get Belgian chocolate for relatively inexpensive. I don't know if there are Trader Joe's stores in TN, but in this area, that's the best place to buy the stuff. Fabulous stuff too. *waves hi*
