Hey, I thought of another shame-inducing movie that I enjoy in spite of my better judgement: Under Siege. When this movie originally came out I thought it was "awesome." Granted, I was only 17 at the time. The thing that surprised me the most about the movie was Tommy Lee Jones. You see, my only reference point with Jones at this time was his white-haired, white-bearded appearance as Woodrow Call on Lonesome Dove (one of the best Westerns of all time). So I was absolutely shocked to see him clean-shaven with longish dark hair. I couldn't believe he really wasn't in his 60s. Then a few years later I was flipping channels and saw the scene where Erika Eleniak answered Seagal's cell phone during a gunfight and said, "He's in a gunfight right now. I'm gonna have to take a message." I slowly shook my head and came to the realization that the movie probably wasn't as "awesome" as I remembered. Though I'm sure I'd still enjoy it today, just on a different level.

Yeah, it's a strange thing. I know Seagal can't act, but still I enjoy his films. The older ones that is. The newer movies are just plain bad. It's his fighting and the way he's always invincible.

Okay, I thought of the single most cringe-inducingly shameful movie that I secretly love. I give you... The Last Dragon.
Combining the best (or worst) of kung-fu and blaxploitation, this was supposed to be Berry Gordy's (head of Mowton) foray into film. What results is a hero named Bruce LeeRoy, a villian called "Sho'nuff--The Shogun of Harlem," and a quest for kung-fu excellence that climaxes in the hero glowing like he was an extra on Tron.
Does it get any better than that? And remember, "Just direct-a yo' feets-a to Daddy Green's Pizza!"

Okay, I thought of the single most cringe-inducingly shameful movie that I secretly love. I give you... The Last Dragon. I used to watch that movie all the time as a kid. Those were the days when I actually thought it was really cool when Leroy caught the bullet in his teeth. Come on, a Kung Fu master named "Leroy"? That's just too good. "Now, when I say, 'Who's da mastah?' you say, 'Sho'nuff!'"
