Mr. Cali was asking all of our friends this question this weekend, and it was really fun to talk about.
So...What are some movies you secretly love but are ashamed to admit?
Mine:
Armageddon Anaconda

Oh, this could prove to be as painful as the "what music do you secretly jam to in the car" discussion a while back!
Before I list mine, I will admit openly that I love Armageddon and Anaconda for their copious quantities of cinematic cheese. (I've been reading the thesaurus lately...)
Okay, here goes...
*deep breath*
Sleepless in Seattle Flight of the Navigator The Neverending Story
Yeah, that's right! I said it!

Um... didn't we do a list earlier of movies that we an't turn off if we are flipping through channels? Maybe not.
My old roomate mad eme watch "Legally Blonde" until I enjoyed it. I wouldn't say I love it though.
how about So I Married an Ax Murderer?
Oh, wait, I just remembered, the movie that I now secretely love but would *never* admit. You guys have to promise you'll still love me after I tell you this though.
Seriously. I'm not posting until you tell me that you'll still love me no matter what movie I'm about to say. I promise you, it's bad.

Yes, yes, I too must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Armageddon and Anaconda - though "love" might be too strong a word. After all, Stephanie will probably read this and get jealous. Or not. Depends on how much I aggravate her about not reading the message board.
I have to confess that I've turned a slight red before when owning up to the fact that I really enjoyed Miss Congeniality.
However, I think the biggest confession I have to make is my recent enjoyment of romantic comedies. Throw the cuteness of Brittany Murphy or Kate Hudson into a movie and I end up enjoying it way more than I should be willing to admit.
For example, within the past couple of years I've enjoyed the following movies: Sweet Home Alabama, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, 13 Going on 30, and Little Black Book. To name a few.
I wouldn't say I absolutely love them, but I'd watch them again, and there are some of my guy friends I just can't admit that to. That's why I still haven't told them about The Movie Mark. Some things you have to keep quiet when you go to renew your man card.
Oh, and I didn't hate the Charlie's Angels movies. *hides face in shame*

Heh...I think that's the most shameful one I've heard so far. It takes a lot of courage to admit that

Oh, and I didn't hate the Charlie's Angels movies. *hides face in shame* Hey, that's the great thing about the relative anonymity of the Internet. We're not here to judge *snicker* or make you feel inferior *snort*... BWAAHAHAHAA!! Just kidding. I certainly have no room to make fun of anyone's dirty little cinematic secrets...

This is fun. I also liked Charlies Angels... /Crawles under desk. But only the first one, the second one made me wanna stick a fork in my eye. And I also liked Three to Tango... That's because I secretly like Matthew Perry's acting (most of the time). I also liked the Whole nine yards, eventough I seem to be alone in the universe on that. Here also, the second one sucked...

Heh...I think that's the most shameful one I've heard so far. It takes a lot of courage to admit that or stupidity. I netflicked it because I'm becoming a big fan of one of the actors in it - then I sent it on back afterward. Then, a few days later, the friend that told me I should watch it said "Hey, remember that scene where..." and I suddenly had the urge to watch it again. I've even considered *buying* it. Perhaps this is a cry for help. I haven't had any desire to watch the other movies though... seeing as my main interest in BoC was one of the typical side characters that didn't make it to the end.

Hey, I thought of another shame-inducing movie that I enjoy in spite of my better judgement: Under Siege.
Since this is a "guy" movie, maybe there isn't as much stigma attached to liking it as, say, She's All That, but I have to concede that it is a pretty stupid movie nonetheless.
I mean, Steven Segal is a Navy SEAL who moonlights as a pastry chef? I wouldn't trust this guy to sell me batteries at Radio Shack, much less single-handedly liberate an entire hijacked battleship.
Actually, the pastry chef gig would explain his portly appearance these days... hmmm...

There's really no movies I absolutely love that I would be embarassed about, but here's a few I really enjoyed that most people didn't.
The Glimmer Man with Steven Seagal. Most Wanted with Kennen Ivory Wayans. Major Payne with Damon Wayans.
I 'm not embarassed about liking Armageddon, Anaconda or the Whole Nine Yards.
