This is kind of a new idea.. Miranda July, who wrote, directed, and starred in Ebert's favorite Sundance hit Me and You and Everyone We Know has a blog at meandyou.typepad.com/ . It has some posts from the actor who played the little boy in the movie, and other posts give insight into some of the scenes in the movie. What do you guys think of filmmakers having blogs, particularly this one?

I've never heard of the movie, so this particular one doesn't grab my interest. However, I don't oppose the idea. If a filmmaker for a movie I really liked had a blog then I might check in from time to time to see if any good info was posted.
However, if the blog derailed into a litany of discussions about what the filmmaker has for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day, then I'd lose interest and move along.
But I'm always interested in insider info on movies I really like.

Sorry, Shiner, but MsCali (correct spelling and capitalization, although, Ms. Cali is also acceptable) will do no such thing. It's not really spam if the message fits the topic of the board, which it does. If you don't want to read the blog, ignore the link, but spend that time doing something productive, like looking up the definition of spam. Besides, if JB thought it was spam, he would have said so in his message...it's his board, let him handle it. Thank you.
I feel the same as Johnny - if the blog is for a movie I like, and has interesting, insider info about making the movie, I would read it. I would be like watching the Making of House of Wax series on MTV, only without Paris Hilton...that's always a bonus in my book:)
