MURDER BOOK (FOX) - Josh Brolin ("Mister Sterling") has scored a lead role in the drama pilot, which revolves around L.A. cops and the beat-by-beat way they go about their business, including compiling reams of info about a case in one giant book. No other details were given about Brolin's character. "Training Day's" Antoine Fuqua is set to direct the 20th Century Fox Television-based project from a script by creators Chris Brancato and Bert Salke ("Boomtown," "North Shore").
*** Antoine Fuqua directing? This has promise. It's about time somebody cast Josh as a cop.

My first instinct is the say the last thing tv needs is another cop show (as much as I want Josh to have regular work and as much as I want to see him on tv all the time) but NYPD Blue is ending, so maybe there's room.
Hopefully it won't be just a CSI ripoff, and will get good ratings...I know at least two of us will be watching:)

It sounds interesting so far. The premise of using the "murder book" gives this an opportunity to take a new approach. That's what they've gotta do - take a unique marketing approach, much like Numbers did. I've always wanted Josh to do a role kind of like Russell Crowe's cop in LA Confidential.

pretty sad when your identifying role is in a series cancelled after 2 weeks. Actually, it was 9 weeks. FACE! And that's not his defining role, which I'm sure you well know. I'm glad to see you decided to actually start writing in English. It's a start.

It sounds kinda like Cold Case. i hope it works out, but I'm not holding my breath. Aw man. Sometime in September (when the show airs) I was planning on having a "Hold Your Breath For the Success of Josh Brolin's New TV Show" campaign. The gist is we'd all rally together and agree to hold our individual breaths until enough people watched the show to ensure its success. Granted, Rhi, you didn't know about my campaign before you made your rash statement, so I'm sure you'll reconsider now.
