Now, as a completely committed female member of our species, I have no shame in saying that watching Jude Law is like taking heroin, you just feel good all over after watching a performance by him.
Uh, not that I've ever taken heroin before.....that's not the friggin' point.
The friggin' point is this: I'm on the verge of being annoyed by him. Why? Have you seen how many movies he's in this year? The scariest part of this is I have no idea how he found the time to do all these movies, but what's even worse is that so far they aren't really all that good (Sky Captain, Alfie, I rest my case).
I'm disturbed that the movie exects are cashing in on his popularity by sticking him in every movie possible. Much as I love him, Jude and I need some time apart if we're going to succeed in this relationship.

I couldn't disagree with you more:)
I loved Sky Captain because of him (and despite Gwennyth)...he stole I Heart Huckabees (which I promise I WILL get a review written soon! Work has slowed down a bit, so hopefully I can get it done here this week). I can't wait to see Alfie...and I have no interest in seeing Closer due to the presence of Julia "the less attractive and waaaay more annoying Monica Potter" Roberts.
But maybe it's because I never really was a fan before. I can't even think of anything I've seen him in before Sky Captain (I'm sure there's something, but I can't think of it right now).

First thing I ever saw him in was Wilde, which was a pretty d**n good performance. Then Gattaca, which freaked me out enough that I didn't really notice him.
I'm not seeing Closer either, because it's just going to screw over my opinion of everyone in that movie if I do.

Jude was excellent in "Enemy at the Gates" and COMPLETELY hot and adorable in "Cold Mountain". I have to say if I could pluck one man out of fiction and make him real, I want Inman.
An "Ehh" movie that is made "pretty good" by him being in it: Music From Another Room. Gretchen Mol is horrible. But Jude's character is just so cute, and all the other characters are hilarious; if you can try to imagine yourself in the movie and not Gretchen Mol, then it's really good.

Definitely Gattaca, which rules on so many levels. But A.I. too.

I'm not liking that cover picture. Am I the only one that associated Jude with being a bad guy in movies for so long that I have a hard time liking him? He plays such a *good* bad guy.
Granted, he's hot - but sexiest man alive? eh.

As much as I love him, I have to agree that cover is not the most flattering. The longer hair swept over like that is kind of geeky. Take a look at the slideshow, though. Some REALLY nice ones in there. My favorite is him as Inman in cold Mountain, a pic from the beginning of the movie when he has short hair and was building stuff. Mmmm MMMMMM!!!

I guess I just like the geeky look! Because, as much I like Jude, I usually don't think he's all that hot:) But he has a charming quality that makes me overlook that!

If you want to see him being super adorable and charming, see "Music from another Room" There's a really good freeze frame 'look' that is just... I can't think of any other words. Melting. I like his character in that movie very much.
