I've posted my preview. Looks like there are really on two ABC shows worth checking out and a couple of others may be worth a look. Let me know if you have a different opinion.

I don't have TV anymore *gasp* That was a fun look at what I'm definitely not missing paying $50 a month for.

No bad talking my friend Mark-Paul Gosselar, Johnny!(okay, actually, he's the brother of my friend...I've never actually met him, but I know his sister, and I will forever be a Zack/Saved by the Bell fan)...I've actually seen him in some dramatic roles (NOT NYPD Blue, because, seriously, I don't need that much Dennis Franz) and he was quite good.
You will be happy to know that this will be the last season of that show though!
Shows I'm looking forward to (translated - don't really care about but will be forced to watch): Boston Legal Lost
Hey, look! The same as the ones Johnny recommends!
Actually, I started watching The Practice again towards the end of the show, and James Spader and William Shatner were brilliant!
I think this is the perfect time to tell my "William Shatner is an (insert really bad word here)" story.
A couple years ago, a friend and I had tickets to see "Stars on Ice" at the Staples Center. Her sister had gotten us luxury box tickets through work, so we were really excited (the Staples Center has great desserts that only the luxury box people get!). When we got there to pick up the tickets, however, there was a mixup. The guy in the luxury box tickets window told us to go ahead and step out of line and call her sister, and when we had gotten it straightened out to just come back up to the window without getting back in line. When my friend was ready to get back into line, she did just that - right in front of William Shatner and some young fake blonde with even faker breasts. She very politely said "Excuse me," not realizing who he was.
He very rudely said, "No! Excuse me," and basically pushed in front of her. He arrogantly told the guy at the window, "Shatner, two tickets." The guy typed in his computer for a second, and said "I'm sorry, I don't see you in the system."
Shatener again said, "WILLIAM SHATNER, two tickets," at which the guy went into another database or something, typed for another minute, and told Capt. Kirk, "I'm sorry, this is the line for luxury suite tickets only. You need to get in the regular line," and then made him go to the back of the regular tickets line!
Hee hee...I love that story:)

Johnny Betts - my finger's on the pulse of pop culture. I remember you telling me about the William Shatner story. Pretty funny. My only guess is he didn't know the girl had permission to cut back in line. Still, I always love to hear people make fun of the guy.

I might actually look at Complete Savages. I'm surprised Johnny didn't happen to mention that it's Mel Gibson's first directing job since Passion of the Christ.
(and a scoop he's got a cameo in one of the episodes later this season)

(and a scoop he's got a cameo in one of the episodes later this season) Is he actually directing? Or is he directing one episode or something? I'd heard the show was supposed to be loosely based on him raising his kids, but I wasn't sure to what extent he was involved. Thanks!

He directed the pilot and might possibly direct more episodes. A friend of mine went to a taping and said Mel was on set. He's an executive producer (as well as two former Simpsons writers).
The show is ok, but I do see where Mel might have an influence.
