I'll be writing my review of Vertigo soon...
after that, I may do some mini reviews of Hitchcock movies you should see to wrap up the series, as I'm ready to move on to other classics.
So, are there any Hitchcock movies I haven't reviewed yet that you want me to (either because you loved them or because you are interested in seeing them but not quite sure about it)? Let me know, and I'll try to work them in.
I may also get to a full length review of Rear Window, since I would have to place that as one of the three greatest movies Hitchcock ever made, and I already reviewed the other two - it all depends on if I can talk the boy into renting it this weekend (we went with Vertigo last weekend, so he may not be in a Hitchcock mood). I want to watch it again before I write the review, because it's been a little while since I've seen it.

I've never seen that one either, actually. I should get on that:)

I own and have seen most of Hitchcocks. Dial M for murder is great. Check out Strangers on a train and Frenzy!

Welcome, Lisa! It'll be interesting to get a British gal's point of view around here!

In a move that I regretted at wotk the next day, I stayed up until three in the morning watching the Alfred Hitchcock-Jimmy Stewart collaborations. "Vertigo", "Rope", "The Man Who Knew Too Much", and "Rear Window". Wow...this was especially nice as my wife had never seen any of them. It's fun watching great movies with someone who is seeing them for the first time...man, Jimmy Stewart is good!

Rear Window is my favorite Hitchcock Film!!! Man who knew to much was good. North by Northwest also pretty fab. I know that The Birds always freaked me out a bit --- not one of my faves. Psycho kept me from taking showers for atleast 3 years of my life ---(not to worry... i took baths instead). Trouble with Harry??? I think that's what it's called... w/ Shirley McClaine was actually quite cute. Wasn't that Hitchcock as well? I've heard great things about Dial M for Murder, too... yet I've never seen it. Why is that? The more probing question is why do I keep commenting on threads that were started and not touched again for two years? smile. (possibly because someone else may browse the boards like me and read my faux pearls of wisdom.... at least that's what I'll keep telling myself.) Me thinks the truth is simply that I have no life. smile.

Trouble With Harry was Hitchcock - definitely different for him.
Rear Window isn't my favorite (Psycho is, or Rebecca sometimes, depending on my mood), but it is the one I recommend people start with if they've never watched a Hitchcock film.
Birds really freak me out, but The Birds didn't. (Also, tornados really freak me out, but Twister didn't). I adore Psycho - in one of my former apartments, I even had a shower curtain with the shadow of mother holding the knife on it (as well as some Bates Motel towels and a toiletry kit...it's great the weird stuff you can get at Universal Studios). Unfortunately, the last couple places I lived have shower doors instead of curtains, but one day that curtain will come out again.
And you are commenting on old threads because you realized that I love talking about things over and over and over again! That's why I'm replying to so many of your comments on subjects we dropped forever ago! Hee hee:)

This is getting very spooky... I also own "Bates Motel" towels from Universal Studios...
I'm starting to think that we're long-lost sisters or something...

Hmmm...I've always wanted to live in Phoenix, so it could be! And I too recently sold out and got a Myspace page (I just glanced at your profile). Then again, that whole Jimmy/Kid thing keeps getting in the way. We will never agree on that, so I guess we can't really be sisters...unless we are two personalities of one individual...oooh, are we living in a less violent, more fun version of Identity?

I think it's God's way of balancing the universe. ;D
