Here's my list: - Planescape Torment
- Breakdown
- Silent Hill 2 & 4
Planescape TormentThis is the best story I've seen in a video game, but since it is fantasy it take a lot of money to do it right. Since it wasn't very sucessful financially it won't get made. BreakdownHere's another game that wasn't a big hit. In fact this game was a disaster as far as sales go. The story was pretty cool. With the current popularity of Sci-Fi it would be easier to get this one green-lighted. The Sci-Fi actually should look at something like this instead of Commodeo Vs Godzilla. Silent Hill 2If this movie was done right it be a smash hit for the horror franchise. The game was was very scary and it had a huge twist at the end. This one is pretty likely if the Silent Hill movie (loosely based off the first game) does well. Silent Hill 4This incarnation wasn't nearly as scary as the others but it had a very intriguing plot. This one could actually be done more as a supernatural thriller/mystery rather than a horror movie. If they do make this one Sawyer from Lost has to be Walter Sullivan. Again this movie is possible if the first movie does well. The Halo movie sounds interesting with Peter Jackson involved. There's a decent story already there, but I'm not sure how the Master Chief is going to look on the big screen. The Silent Hill is shaping up to be good as well. The Silent Hill movie is being directed by the same guy who did Brotherhood of the Wolf. Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean are in it so there are some decent actors.

I think, with a good director Warcraft could be made into a movie. The short promo films they have in the game are small movies on their selves. I think you would be getting something like The Lord of the Ring, but who knows, could be nice, if they're not gonna change the story...

I definitely agree with the Silent Hill series. They're the creepiest video games I've played, and the storylines are very engaging. If done right, they could be great.
I'd add Metal Gear to the list. This is my favorite video game series, and I’m shocked there hasn’t been more discussion about a film version. It’s got a great lead character, wonderfully colorful supporting characters, tons of backstory, and plenty of twists. As long as Uwe Boll doesn’t get near it then it’d be hard to screw this one up.

I think it would be very hard to make a movie out of Planescape: Torment. It would cost a fortune, and a lot of the game's appeal is in the writing, which wouldn't transfer well into a format that isn't as text-heavy.
I've heard that a familiar enemy from Silent Hill 2 is going to be in the SH movie, yet they're using the storyline (roughly) from the first game. That alone makes me lose a lot of confidence in it--using PH as just a generic scary figure would ruin things. He's integrated completely into the symbolism and story of SH2.
Torment and the Silent Hill series are some of my very favorite video games, but I'm not sure I'd even want to see them as movies--even done well. As if there's any hope of that.

Yeah, it would take a monumental effort to get this one right and it would take much more money than it could possibly make. I think it would make a great movie but poor business sense.
I think they are using PH like he was in those paintings in the museum - a primary figure in the beginnings of Silent Hill. The trailer for the movie looks good and the director did Brotherhood of the Wolf which I enjoyed. I don't know if the movie will be great, but I do think it will be good.

I think God of War (PS2) would be an awesome movie.

I think Metroid Prime would be an excellent movie. Starcraft would be good to.

Tangetgirl! Welcome back.
Is there a better video game than one in which the hero is constantly plagued by giant fried eggs? Oh man, does that bring back memories!

Pac-Man the movie... There's a parody trailer somewhere on YouTube, it's actually really funny. The credits say "directed by Uwe Boll". Go figure.

LMAO!! Now that would be entertaining. ~nods~ I think they should make a movie out of Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. I love that game. I've beat it like four or five times, I'd say, and I never get sick of it! Although I doubt I'll ever see one being made. Or if they did, it'd probably be too childish and dumb or something. Oh well, I've always thought it'd make for a cool movie. ~`Buffy`~
