Okay, get your iPod or your Prism Duro Sport or whatever it is you listen to music on and hit shuffle and write down the first ten songs that come up. We're on the honor system here, folks, so no cheating. I'll go first:
1. Jingle Bells - The Brian Setzer Orchestra 2. Everything But You - Glen Phillips 3. Here I Go Again - Whitesnake 4. Change the World - Eric Clapton 5. Little Wing - Stevie Ray Vauhgan 6. Hell Hole - Spinal Tap 7. Something to Believe In - Poison 8. Time - Pink Floyd 9. Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas 10. Theme from Superman - John Williams
Um...yeah. Not really sure what this reveals about me, but I'm sure it's deep and revealing.
Who's next?

Good idea, Laslo. Unfortunately, mine isn't very intriguing because I haven't transferred a lot of variety to my player yet. See, I put all my Fogerty/Creedence stuff on there first, and then all my Roger Clyne/Refreshments stuff, so it's been a slow process. Tom Petty is up next.
I have put a few random songs on there, but things won't really be embarrassing until I add Kelly Clarkson. Anyway, here's my top 10:
1. Smaller and Better Things - Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers (RCPM) 2. Paradise City - Guns 'n Roses 3. Tell Yer Momma - RCPM 4. Blue Moon Nights - John Fogerty 5. Mile High and Risin' - RCPM 6. The Ballad of Lupe Montosa - RCPM 7. Blueboy - John Fogerty 8. My Pretty Baby - Tom Fogerty 9. The Midnight Special - CCR 10. Bring it Down to Jelly Roll - John Fogerty
Mine will be a little more interesting when I get a few more artists on there!

Oooh - great topic, Laslo!
Here are mine, although I'd love to revisit this to see what I get next time...
1. Book of Days - Enya 2. Bear Up Bison - Shonen Knife 3. Zero to Fifty in Four Seconds - Robert Rodriguez/Planet Terror 4. Blackbird/Yesterday - The Beatles "Love" 5. Fideo Del Oeste - Chingon 6. You Walk With Me - "The Full Monty" (Musical) 7. Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day 8. Over & Done With - The Proclaimers/Bottle Rocket 9. Hey Bulldog - The Beatles/Yellow Submarine 10. Nothing is Good Enough (Instrumental) - Aimee Mann/Magnolia
"Modern Love" by David Bowie was #11 - which I am grooving to right now... And let me tell you - it's hard not to dance while this song is on. But, no, I will finish my post before busting a move... How's that for dedication?

Following nikki's lead --which we all should be doing, really-- I've decided to hit shuffle again and see what pops up this time around:
1. Kite - U2 2. Johnny B. Goode - Judas Priest 3. Gimme All Your Lovin' - ZZ Top 4. Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel 5. Voodoo Chile - SRV 6. Hawaii Five--O - Gary Hoey 7. Blues Leave Me Alone - Eric Clapton 8. Ideal Waste of Time - Treble Charger 9. Somebody Rock Me - (A mashup between "Rock the Casbah" by the Clash and "Somebody Told Me" by The Killers) 10. All Of You - Miles Davis
And thanks again to nikki for reminding us of that eternal truth that Spinal Tap taught us--that all good things should go to eleven--#11 is "The Boys of Summer" by The Ataris.

Since everybody else is being shy about this thread (I thought Ms. Cali and TG would be all over it), I'll have another go:
1) Wrote a Song for Everyone - CCR 2) I Confess - John Fogerty (Live Showtime Special) 3) My Baby Left Me - CCR 4) Easy - RCPM 5) Bootleg - CCR 6) My Pretty Baby/Leave My Woman Alone - Fogerty (Live Showtime Special) 7) The Midnight Special - CCR 8) Broken Record - The Refreshments 9) Hoodoo Man - John Fogerty 10) The Young Riders Theme Song
And, following behind Ms. Bluejeans, I'll chime in with 11 - Commotion, by you guessed it, CCR.
Man, even less variety than before! I thought for sure at least one Todd Snider song would show up.
I do a lot of skipping, folks.

1) Pigeons - Weird Al 2) Have You Ever Seen the Rain - CCR 3) Crash Course in Brain Surgery - Metallica 4) Great Milenko - Insane Clown Posse 5) 2 X 4 - Metallica 6) The Alphbet Song - Cedarmont Kids 7) Buy Me a Condo - Weird Al 8) Thorn Within - Metallica 9) Cliff Burton Solo - Metallica 10) Melanie - Weird Al 11) Awaken - Disturbed
#6 probably shouldn't count because it's one of my daughters tracks that I keep on the Ipod for the car. I'm was a little surprised that Metallica came up so much. Granted, I have all of their albums but I have over a 1000 songs on my Ipod.

I'm adding some Matt Mays & El Torpedo and Against Me's (they rocked it on Conan last night) Thrash Unreal to my MP3 player, so keep your fingers crossed on my next shuffle attempt.

What is this "IPod" of which you are all speaking? MPwhat?
Yeah, I am very behind the times when it comes to this technology crap! That stuff costs money! Money I could spend on yarn! (okay, really, I can't get an MP 3 player until I get a new computer. The only computer I have right now is the laptop issued to Mr. C by work. And there is no downloading on the work laptop. And I can't afford a new computer right now, so I am still listening to CDs. Do you guys remember those?).
My new cell phone does have an MP 3 player though! Not that I can use it (see above about the computer).
If I were to put my current CD rotation on shuffle though (um, manually, because my cd player does not hold more than 1 cd) it would play selections from:
Lily Allen Patsy Cline The Police (or, as I call them, The PoPo) Annie (the movie)
Um, that's really the rotation right now. If I had an IPod, I might have more on there. Then again, I like to listen to the same things over and over again, so maybe not!
