All right, so I'm ready to jumpstart the t-shirt and merchandise ideas. Regarding the t-shirts - I'm thinking the logo and URL will definitely be on there somewhere, but what do y'all think about offering a variety of shirts that contain quotes from my reviews?
The layout would stay the same, but you could choose the shirt with your favorite quote. Stuff like:
"I've seen Troll 2, and you sir are no Troll 2."
"If you're gonna be bad then embrace your ineptitude and go forth with gusto."
"I'm basically a failed He-Man bad guy."
"Corey Feldman Takes a Dump and Expects You to Watch It."
"Whose idea was this and of whom does he have controversial photos?"
Things of that nature. I'm going through my reviews and articles and picking choice quotes.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Any favorite JB quotes to add? Brainstorm...

I think you need one with "This is my opinion, you could be wrong"
and, I'd like one that says something to the effect of "The website of a 'rude abnoxious jerk who should be punced in the face.'"

Just another note - the quotes on the shirt would make them more enticing to wear to movies. And in many cases, they can be seen as messages to fellow moviegoers. Like:
"It's a Movie, Not a DVD Commentary Tryout"
That's straight to the point. Maybe have some words from the Movie Mark Dictionary, etc.

I like Rhi's idea, or else something along the lines of "Forget Kevin Bacon--how about six degrees of Josh Brolin?"

I like Rhi's idea, or else something along the lines of "Forget Kevin Bacon--how about six degrees of Josh Brolin?" Dude, I definitely have to have one that references Josh Brolin in some context. Thanks for planting that seed. All right, let's toy with Rhi's idea a bit. In the next few days I'll go ahead and open a Cafe Press section so we can actually see what these will look like, but right now I'm visualizing... FRONT and CENTER: "This is my opinion, you could be wrong." BACK: The logo in the middle with, "The website of a rude 'abnoxious' jerk who should be 'punced' in the face." underneath it. Is "Johnny Betts is a rude 'abnoxious' jerk who should be 'punced' in the face." too vague? Or is it just vague enough to make people say, "Hmm, who is this Johnny Betts?" Discuss...

Yes, I'd like the Josh Brolin reference as well, but it doesn't have to all go on the same shirt. I think the punced in the face quote should be just like it is on the homepage. People can wonder

You guys... too much choosing, just decide already!! Johnny, keep it classic! If you do it just right, I'll wear it to work and have my picture taken in it. sheesh!! 5 bullseyes on the front in a horizontal line across the chest. centered on the back: "This is my opinion, you could be wrong." -Johnny Betts. and right below it also centered, www.themoviemark.com. You do it, I'll buy one. Black or navy for main shirt colors. white for text.

For one of my Christmas gifts Stephanie had a Movie Mark t-shirt made for me. On the front, near the heart, is the URL, and on the back is the Movie Mark Logo. I'll take a picture of it and post it. I might go ahead and use it as the model to go with. The main thing I'll add is to have "This is my opinion; you could be wrong" on the back of the shirt.
