I've got a couple of ideas in pocket, but does anybody have suggestions on how to spread the word on the Movie Mark? How can we get people to visit and keep coming back for more?
Well, getting them here is the key. We all know once they get to the Movie Mark and read the hilarity that is Johnny Betts, then they'll definitely come back for more!
So come on, let's brainstorm some promotion ideas! DON'T LET ME DOWN!

Just yesterday I was trying to think of somebody I could drag to the NCState campus with me to spray paint WWW.THEMOVIEMARK.COM all over the "free expression tunnel" That's where all the state students get their information. They have to walk through it to get to class. I'm sure all college campuses have an equivalent... But I'm not doing it alone, so if anybody wants to come to Raleigh, I'll go to the free expression tunnel and we can legally paint graffitti for the good of this website. Then again, there are the overpasses on the way to work, where we can paint *illegal* graffiti...

Come on folks, this is a great idea. Movie Mark graffiti? It's perfect! I challenge somebody in the Raleigh area to step up and join forces with Rhiannon to get this done.

Hey, I tried at school. I get on here sometimes during 6th period and I will laugh out loud and stuff and most of the time people will be like "What's so funny?" But those people are to preoccupied looking up colleges. Not me! So I tried, Johnny, and I'll try again.

Apparently for ten bucks you can post a text ad on FARK.com. Have you seen that site?

What's the $10 deal that you mentioned? I see a deal where you can post a link to your site for $25. The testimonials claim their traffic more than doubled, so I'll look into this a bit further. Thanks for the suggestion!

Dude, I dunno about you, but I'd be up for a T-shirt with the moviemark.com website addy on it. Especially if it was selling for 10.00/shirt.
Site addy on the front, "This is my opinion, you could be wrong." on the back.
Navy blue with white lettering. Whatcha think? I'd wear it to the passport office and to play vball. People notice me and they always read my t-shirts so it's a sure bet you'd get more hits. =)

Any ideas for a possible logo?

I like that idea of the existing Movie Mark logo and the "you could be wrong" saying on the back. Or it could be vice versa... that saying may get more curious stares than the website or logo on the front... I think the IQ100 thing would be funny to have on there too. I would definitely buy a T-shirt if it was available for 10-15 bucks.

uh... a bulls-eye?
A mug is a fabulous idea. I mean, if you are drinking coffee at work (That is, if you have a job...) *everyone* will eventually notice and comment on an unusual mug.
But I don't drink coffee at work. I would be interested in a T-shirt...

The whole IQ100 box on the bottom (below the quote) would add to the whole movie relevance. Hmm, on the front, how about: www.THEMOVIEMARK.comAnd "THEMOVIEMARK" could be designed just like it is on the webpage, crooked letters and all. And what does everybody think about possibly using a bullseye for the "o"?

Hey Johnny, have you ever been to cafepress.com? You can set up your shop there and offer all sorts of things, and people buy them, and you don't have to pay anything (I don't think). You should check it out!
In fact, I just looked on their website, and this is what it says:
I'd buy:)

You should check it out! Wow, I can't believe they offer that for free! I know Stephanie has bought a couple of things from there. I'm definitely gonna look into this. Thanks for the info! I'm actually getting excited. This is all starting to feel kind of official.
