time for some girly movies. A favorite story and a favorite movie- Pride and Prejudice. the A&E version is the best, but it is LONG. rent it from the library on a cold winter's weekend and snuggle in with some tea. Superb cast, it is the book brought to life with some sparkle.

And another girly movie The Scarlet Pimpernel. (1982) Guys tend to like this one as well. =)

If you're going to rent Girl with a Pearl Earring, for heavens sake read the book first. It doesn't make very much sense without the book.
But back to the topic at hand, we are missing a time honored classic here: The Princess Bride.
"Inconceivable!" "You keep saying that word. I donna think it means what you think it means."

I TRIED to watch My Fair Lady tonight, but Mr. Cali made me turn it. To him I say "OWWWWWWWWW!"
Another girly movie I love is Down With Love (mmmmmmmm...Ewan McGreggor looking all dapper). If you like the old Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies, you'll love this. It's like every romantic cliche ever used to the nth power. It's completely exaggerated and over the top, and I love it for that:) Plus, Renee Zellwegger (who I generally refer to as "Squinty") has an awesome wardrobe.

mmmmmmm..... Down with Love... I *LOVE* That movie. to the nth degree. I feel sexy just watching it.
My buddy and I went to our sorority formal this spring, and were the only two without dates, so we drank a bunch of liquor and got dressed all up, put on high heels, and did the "Down with Love" walk all the way to the formal (we stayed in a different hotel). The whole time we were humming the "Down With Love" song. It was so much fun.
