I actually missed the first hour of this movie, and the boat had already flipped over by the time I tuned in. While I debated as to whether or not to keep watching, I witnessed C. Thomas Howell having his broken arm reset by a sexy woman in a red dress. While he bit down on a linen napkin in a manly fashion, she pulled and cranked on his arm. When she was done, he groaned and said, "Whoa... THAT'S a yank!"
Insert your own joke.
Anyway, this movie was so bad, the original Poseidon Adventure is turning over in it's watery grave. (I have been waiting to use that joke for some time now!)
I'm not sure how a boat with a giant hole in the hull is supposed to stay afloat while inverted, but I'm sure that was explained in the hour I missed.

Anyone else notice the irony of how most the careers of the castmembers can be described as sinking ships? Must've been a prerequisite to get the job.

This movie is really hard to watch... cant do it... to think that the studios payed over 100 million for this garbage and my sister isn't a star yet... frustrating!

Oh... you're lucky... I thought you were talking about the original one ... I actually quite liked it. I was quite small when I first saw it, so it might not hold up now... who knows.
next... it's almost too good to be true.... C. Thomas Howell (remember when he was Tommy Howell?) and Rutger Hauer in another movie together. ( I also liked the original Hitcher.) Steve Guttenberg is like icing on the cake or something.
(what a difference a 3-letter article can make, huh?) so... Poseidon Adventure... good, classic disaster film THE Poseidon Adventure... a stinking pile of poo
anyone want to weigh in on Poseidon? I actually wanted to see it in IMAX, but was afraid that if the movie was awful and blew chunks that I didn't want want chunks to be blown on such a grand scale.
It does have Kurt Russell in it though. (I love Snake.) I am stoked to see Grindhouse; his character looks kinda bad@$$ ... emphasis on bad?
okay... enough tangents for tonight... must fo to bed now.
