Is this happening everywhere, because most of the ones in my area, North Texas, are closing as well?

Based on my (very lazy) Google search, they are closing about 520 of their stores.
I haven't been by the one near me to see if it is closing (probably, there are about 3 blockbusters nearby to compete with it), but I have driven past a couple that are.

The one near my house is still open, so that's all I care about.

I just joined Netflix (seriously, I've had Je T'Aime Paris - which I know I spelled wrong - and An Inconvenient Truth for about 3 weeks now. I finally got around to watching Al Gore last weekend, but Paris is still awaiting the viewing. This is why Hollywood Video generally only sees me about twice a year).
So, I don't care if my store is closing. Except, maybe, they will have a good sale on some movies I want.
