What people do when they think no one is watching

I'm not taking about picking your nose here... that is apparently something people save for when they are in the car and driving.
(at least that's when I always catch people).

My family comes home tonight, but they've been gone for a few days. This is the first one that I haven't had school or work though. My first day completely free to do what I want and not one penny of spending money available.

So, I pose the question... what are some of the things that you do on such rare occasions as you find yourself free from obligations, no kids, no roommates, no family, etc... You have a completely FREE DAY... what do you do??? Just you...

In the past I've done lots of crazy things... including hooking up a microphone to the stereo and putting on my own brand of karaoke to my personal CD collection, dressing up as if I'm going to a black tie affair -- dressed to the 9's --- just to dance around while cleaning the house ( I got caught that time when a friend stopped by unexpectedly). Do you walk around the house sans clothes just because you can? Or do you simply just veg out in front of the t.v? Curl up w/ a good book? Give yourself a mini makeover (in my case my favorite comic book character).

I could play hours of XBox. But I have homework/practicing I have to do... but first, I am going to spend 2-3 hours cleaning and organizing the house... while listening to the radio on-line singing to songs at the top of my lungs and dancing around rather badly(on both accounts) I might add.

What am I listening to??? Currently I have ditched my normal XM radio stations for the "80s on 8" because it's Casey Kasem's American Top 40 from 8/17/85. I can't even believe some of these songs are on the countdown... and who knew that Rick Springfield had another song aside from Jesse's girl.

Okay...gotta go, it's a slow jam and I have dancing around w/ a broom & a mop to do.

I hope the rest of you get a chance to enjoy a day of doing "Nothing" and here's hoping that your neighbors aren't looking in the windows to witness your silliness, because if you're lucky enough to find yourself in this situation--- You certainly don't care if they are. (at least in theory until you end up on You Tube... lol.)

I gotta be honest with you, dressing to the nines sounds like a lot of work. If it's Saturday, I have no plans, and it's too hot to go run or ride bikes, and I plan on spending the entire day inside then you can likely find me in a pair of boxers playing video games or watching a movie.

I'll break up that monotony by reading a book.

The craziest I'll get is when I have to do some cleaning and I throw on a CD and rock out a bit.

My friend wears a tiara when she cleans her house.

Um, skivies when I was trying to survive an apartment in Southern California that didn't have air conditioning. I'd hate it when the doorbell rang......

Other than that I put my hair in a ratty, ugly bun thing when I'm cleaning or on my days off.....

and besides ... just me .. alone ... in my place .. without the wife and kids .. what's that ?? *sigh*

And Huey... you're not alone. My dad loved to tell me how much he liked to get down and boogie back when I was little. Then he'd sing, "I boogie in the kitchen. I boogie in the hall. I boogie on my finger, and I wipe it on the wall".

I also remember that even at age 6, I thought that joke was lame.

I put on the "High School Musical" soundtrack and dance. Picture Napoleon Dynamite having a seizure, and that's what you've got. I also like to sing along really loudly.
