I really wanted to go out on a movie date and this was the only thing playing that we were remotely interested in and hadn't seen already. It was... interesting. Interesting concept. The ending was a tad confusing, but it was a worth watching, overall. Not necessarily something you have to rush out to see though. I'd give it a B or B-. I think they maybe left it open for a sequel as there were a lot of unresolved pieces of story. Paul Bettany was an interesting choice, but it worked. The best part of the movie was realizing that the character "Jeep" (the son at the gas station/diner) was the grown up Caleb from the old TV show "American Gothic". I'd always wondered what happened to him. I see from IMDb that he's done a few movies, but I hadn't seen any of them. so weird that he's all grown up but looks and speaks exactly the same. He acts with his eyebrows, and is mouth hangs open a lot... But he was still good.

I'm considering seeing this tonight w/ some friends. I am leaning towards staying home and reading a book though. I will no doubt see this movie, I just don't no if I want to drive 40 minutes to see it.
Hmm... we'll see.
