They Might be Giants wrote the theme song for Malcom in the Middle. If you haven't checked them out, you suck. you should. Their old stuff at least, but I hear from my dorky friends that albums other than Flood are worth listening to.

They Might be Giants wrote the theme song for Malcom in the Middle. If you haven't checked them out, you suck. you should. You're rockin' lately with that cool strikeout feature! I've heard some TMBG stuff. Or "Tim Big" as I like to call them. Actually, I don't call them that. I have no idea why I lied and said I did. Surely everybody knows the catchy little "chickety china, the chinese chicken, something drumstick and your brain starts ticking." Or "stops ticking." Something. "I'm the kind of guy that laughs at a funeral, don't understand what I mean well you soon will." Etc, etc. I'm making no sense right now to anybody who hasn't heard that song.

Hm... should I tell Johnny that "One Week" was by The Barenaked Ladies, or let him go on living his life making a fool of himself with his musical references? What would Johnny do in this situation?
And I love the strikeout feature. I used it in an email to my boss' boss. I'm sure it moved me up somewhere on *some* list...

Whoops, that's right! I always get those two confused. TMBG are the ones who do, man, what's that song, give me a minute... it's the name of a country that doesn't exist anymore...or something like that... ohhhhh, ISTANBUL! Istanbul is not constantinople!

Oh, The O.C. - I love The O.C....I love Seth Cohen (Adam Brodey, who is ALSO in the Ring - it was actually a major "Hey it's *insert teen TV star here*" night watching that last night! The O.C. is soooooooo much more than another 90210, Johnny. It's much funnier for one thing...and you care just as much about the adults as the kids...and it only has the best line EVER ("Chino? Ew!"). And how can you not love the show that brings Christians and Jewish people together for the holidays by inventing Chrismakah ("8 days of presents followed by one day of MANY presents").
Tru Calling is getting better by the episode. It wasn't really that great when it started, but we gave it another chance mid season, and much to our surprise, it was actually good! I'll be watching this season.
Sidenote: Question for Rheeeeeee, since I KNOW she'll know this. When will West Wing be on? I haven't seen a single commercial!!!!

nope. no clue. Last time I checked the NBC website, I think it said "Sometime in september" if that gives you any clue how long it's been since I cared...
OK, since I care... I went to the NBC website again. I must have made up that september thing. Oct. 20 That's much later than usual. Two years ago it started the week I started my job, and that was mid-september. Last year it started before I put in my 2 weeks notice, and that was on the day I start my job a year earlier. So this year they are doing it really late. Probably because they need the extra tim eto explain why it sucks.
But since I live within close proximity to LilJen now, I figure she will let me know when the season starts, and keep me updated on the excitement. I'll likely become a devoted fan again.
*Except* that last night I watched the new WB show "The Mountain" and it didn't suck. It comes on in the same time slot...

Oh, and Johnny, They *are* the ones that do "Istanbul," and did you get the confused once before when we were talking, or do I know two people that get those bands confused? They also created great hits such as "Particle man" (Particle man, particle man, doing the things a particle can. Is he a dot? Is he a speck? When he's underwater does he get wet?) and my recent favorite (even though I've known all the words to the song for at least 15 years at this point) "Little Birdhouse in your soul"
Anyways... I digress...
Fez's voice is his actual voice, and his actual accent. They hired that guy because it was so random.

I just looked up online that he is native to Venezuela, however. And the accent is so funny because it is so fake and so ambiguous.

Maybe Rhiannon was joking about that being his actual voice, dunno. Oh, and I remember my friend playing that "Particle Man" song for me. TMBG definitely have some weird stuff.
