This was FUNNY. Sandra Bullock has already shown she has a talent for comedy (Miss Congeniality), and she didn't disappoint. Ryan Renolds - not very good in any respect in Wolverine - had me concerned, but he blew me away! He was AMAZING. He should stick to comedy, it's definately his calling. A heartwarming but rolling on the floor laughing romantic comedy.
I wish I could give this a 100% - but there were some things that just didn't have to be in there that were meant to be "funny" that I found tremendously painful. Ramon? *cringe* He was annoying in all his scenes and downright disgusting in the strip sequence. The US Visa inspector was over the top in his role - it would have been better if he had been less smug.
Older teens to adults. The PG-13 rating is deserved with the sexual content (discussions, jokes, crude songs), and the two stars have a scene where they are completely naked front to front together (a surprise to them both so it's not supposed to be sexual) and you see them from the side - probably not something you want for the kids although there are many parents today who should have been sterilized years before(there was a family who took a 4 yrs old and a 6 yrs old to the 12AM Hangover last night -- WHAT THE FREAK?!?!?!). And I already mentioned the stripper scene which is traumatizing in the fact that it gets the gorge to rise than anything else. There is language, but more taking of the Lord's name in vain than actual swearing.
Definately recommend to adults and older teens who want a great many laughs and a feel good ending.
