Most of the dream pins are at the top or bottom of the world though - Russia, Iceland, Greenland, the Arctic, the Antarctic, Australia, New Zealand...and a few in the mid-east. New Zealand is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I miss living there. *sigh* *cut to soft-focus fade out to dream sequence*

RE: Robin Williams - never funny...
I admit that I have never been a fan, and I've never found him laugh-out-loud funny - he's always way over the top, in fact (especially when he was under an influence or two... ) - but I have a few movies for your consideration:
Popeye - One from my childhood, but I remember it being pretty entertaining
Good Morning, Vietnam - I never saw it, but it's supposed to be one of his best
Mrs. Doubtfire - Some funny moments, come on.
Aladdin - I'm not a fan of this movie at all, but people loved him in it
Nine Months - I did like him in this. Sure, there were some cheesy moments - the accent was a bit much - but overall, a good 'un.
Maybe my original point was that after seeing him so often in his manic and hyperactive state (trying to be funny), it's hard for me to accept him as any subdued, serious character... It just comes off as creepy.

I was on my Kevin Spacey kick at the time this came out, and that's the only reason I saw it. (If I remember correctly, the Spacey kick ended very soon afterward. Hmmm. What a coincidence.)

I like Robin Williams as a comediean because I grew up watching Mork & Mindy and had a bootlegged cassette tape of a Robin Williams comedy concert that I wore out. Once he kicked the cocaine habit he wasn't quite as hilarious, but I still find him funny, albeit in small doses (no pun intended!) Anyway, because I liked him as a comedian, I like seeing him in serious, creepy roles. Check out One Hour Photo, or The Final Cut.

I always prefered "Random Acts of Kindness"... although, I have to say that I've never once heard someone (outside of that movie) utter the phrase "pay it forward". I like Kevin Spacey (still to this day...smile) and I saw the movie as a sneak preview (I had no idea what it was about). I didn't hate it... although Helen Hunt's character annoyed me to no end. Movie made me shed a tear or two. *(apparently some others here shed a tear too, for other reasons --- money & time wasted?) I got to answer some polling questions afterwards, and then got to see What Lies Beneath for free. Was an good deal for me, esp. since I ended up being pleasantly surprised that What Lies Beneath was far better than I had expected.
In anycase... I haven't seen the movie again... and to be honest, what I remember most about the movie Pay it Forward was Jim Caviezel (sp?).
*** My Apologies to Mr. Caviezel if I misspelled his name... although it's not super important since I plan on keeping my last name. I'll be sure to get the spelling right should we decide to have kids. ***

Sorry - I meant to post this earlier, but NICE Conan O'Brien reference, JB! ;D
Now, every time I see that jittery, sniffling werewolf, I'll think of Robin Williams, circa 1977 - who, amazingly enough, is actually slightly hairier than the werewolf!

MIXED EMOTIONS HERE:couldn't sleep; still don't feel well... was searching for this old thread to revisit possible cures
1- RELIEF THAT THIS IS ONE OF MY EARLIEST POSTS SO IT DIDN'T TAKE VERY LONG TO FIND IT.
2- (WHY AM i YELLING).. d**n cap lock.
where was I ... Oh... laughing because someone mentioned watching Alexander to induce sleep and I thought to myself... "sounds painful" ... and then a few more posts down I actually wrote those words. Very De Ja Vu... could watch that movie if I had it.
3- Nostalgic, because I had forgotten about the who's wittiest debate... and because I just spoke to NBJ on myspace a little while ago... told her to come back and see us soon.
4- J.B. you should have deleted me back then as now I have far too many posts... unless you have a Easy Button like in the commercials. Erase all traces of me in one easy push of a button... otherwise you're going to get carpal tunnel.
5- I'm gonna try a hot shower... because now as tired as I am... I am starting to feel more sick to my stomach than anything else... and really quite cold.
