I was just talking to my sister about Comic Con. I wanted to be there. I think I liked Tron as a kid... but I don't really remember it all that well. I remember that my friend's mom caught her son sneaking in the house (way underage) drunk and forced him to watch Tron. (The racing day glow colors made him get sick). One of these days... I'm going to go to Comic Con. Oh, and Sundance and Cannes, too. smile. I also have the reoccuring dream of winning an Academy Award. smile. ;D

TG, one of these days you should come to ComicCon, and we can meet up Mr. C and I go every year...except this year, of course. Next year, we'll have Flynn there dressed as a superhero (according to Mr. C).

As soon as I graduate from school and start making money... I'm there! Count me in! Dare I say it? No, I shouldn't. Okay, I will. "I'll be in like Flynn." (insert groans here. sorry. ) I want to go ... one, to experience the Geekdom of it; two, to see Neil Gaiman (when he is there promoting something); three, (this year) to check out some of the Twilight stuff and, of course, Dr. Horrible. Did I mention that I really like Joss Whedon? Neil is gonna be in New York for some readings and then for the whole anniversary of Sandman thing. Oh... yeah, they probably were promoting Watchmen (movie) and I'm sure Frank Miller was there. Anyway... I just want to go and experience the craziness of it. What superhero will Flynn be dressed up as? I'm not in good enough shape for dressing up like any Comic book Femme Fatale. If only...

Hee...you are not the first one to say it (also, it is fun to substitute "flynn" at the beginning of any word that starts with "in"...it is a "flynnteresting" game if you will). Yeah, Mr. C and I have decided that we will figure out every single way the name Flynn can be made fun of, teach them to him, and then he can show the kids at school up when it comes to that. LOL. I have no idea what superhero he will dress up as though - that will be up to Mr. C. (I am the Dr. Girlfriend of Comicon attendees according to Entertainment Weekly...I have no interest in any of it, but go because Mr. C likes to and I like to do stuff he likes sometimes). And please, do not dress up when you go! LOL. Last year we did have a funny experience though - there were a ton of girls dressed up as Princess Lea in the gold bikini...most of whom should NOT have been dressed that way, of course. But we did see one girl who really looked good in the costume. She was walking in front of us, when all of a sudden the chain holding one side of the bottoms closed broke, and the loin cloth swung open, revealing everything to the world. She was not wearing anything underneath it. And it took her a couple steps to realize what had happened. Hee. We got to go to a forum with Neil Gaiman last year - that was pretty much the only part of the whole thing I enjoyed, but it was definitely worth the trip (not to mention the rest of the weekend we spend in San Diego, just hanging out and doing non-comicon stuff).
