Um... I've scoured my house... I'm now asking Johnny and the amazing Movie Mark Community for advice.
Anyone got any guesses as to where my keys are? Came home from work late at night, used the keys to unlock the front door, came inside and sat on the couch to tell my sister about how my place of work "lost" my tip out for the 5th or 6th time, got a drink of water, went to my room, brushed my teeth, used my water pick, washed my face, went to bed.... woke up late for school and couldn't find my keys so used my spare car key.
I need my house key, etc... I really thought that I'd find them under my bed or something. I got home from school and couldn't find them.
Where's the strangest place you all have found a lost item ?
Seriously, though... I'm starting to get both annoyed and a bit worried. They have to be in the house though. Grr... argh!!!

Did you check in the front door? I've done it a million times.

Did you drop them between the couch cushions?
Or did a young child in the house take them, put them in the zippered pocket of a stuffed animal, and then not tell you, while you tore up the house looking for them, because "it was a secret.?"
(That one actually happened to me once. I was babysitting for the summer, and one day couldn't find my keys when I was ready to go home. Thankfully, we only lived about 5 minutes away, so my mom was ablet o bring me the spare...I think later that night, the little girl finally produced them. LOL).
Let's see - you got a drink of water - are they in the fridge? Glasses cupboard? Bathroom cupboard or drawer?

Ah... I thank you all for your suggestions and I almost hate to say that I found them because I like hearing other's crazy stories of lost items. ** For the record, I did find a missing purse in a freezer once. It was gone forever... it was an extra fridge in the basement that we rarely used. Okay... now here's the kicker. I did find my keys. Here's the thing though. They were in my purse that I had emptied out completely. I know some of you will think I'm crazy. Point of fact, that may be true; however, I swear to you that I went through both my purse and my laptop bag numerous times. I emptied out both bags entirely. My eldest niece even looked in my purse last night. She bears witness to the fact that the keys were not there. (This is not a key either. It is a key chain on a key chain that has one of those big clips that could go on a belt loop or purse strap or what have you. It is seriously 5 inches in length total, has five keys plus a key fob for my car hanging from it, and is fairly heavy. It's hard to miss. My purse is not huge either, though admittedly has several little pockets.) I don't know if we have a ghost. Things have disappeared and then later appeared out in the open before. I sort of like the idea of the Borrowers. I went to bed last night saying a little prayer of sorts for insight on helping me retrace my steps. It's a mystery... perhaps one of the pockets of my purse is some kind of worm hole... there was a disruption in the space-time continuum. I don't know. Whatever the case -- insanity, angel, ghost, mythical creature, my grandpa teasing me from above, etc... I'm just happy that they are back. They are now hanging up on the hook that I normally hang them on. Hopefully they will be there in the morning. Thanks again. --- DEW (much appreciated)

Glad you found your keys. My husband is notorious for losing his keys and his wallet - it really drives me crazy! He comes by it honestly though (his mom is much worse, so I guess I have something to be thankful for). He used to put his wallet in the glove box of his truck and one day it went missing. We looked everywhere and it got to the point that he called the police and filed a report because we actually thought it was stolen. We had to cancel credit cards, get him a duplicate driver's license and social security card. After about two months, he thought to look behind the glove box (there was a small space back there) and you guessed it - he found his wallet! You had to really slam the glove box to get it closed and apparently the wallet went flying and landed behind the glove box. Needless to say, he doesn't keep his wallet in the glove box anymore. The best thing that works for me when I do misplace something is to retrace my steps. It usually works every time, unless of course you can't remember where you were!
