All right, I want one of the ladies to start it this time. Doesn't matter who. I guess whoever sees this first. And if you start it, then you get to decide when to end it as well.

Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha POWER!!!
She sped her car through traffic, barely dodging the bumper of one of the hundreds of SUVs clogging the lanes. The speed was exhilerating, no matter the reason she had to get away. She looked ahead and saw brake lights. D*mn!

Emily slammed on her brakes. She was quick enough to avoid hitting the car in front of her. She took a deep breath and then realized that traffic was at a standstill. Well this is just fantastic she thought to herself.
Spying an opening, she quickly swerved into the right lane and then moved onto the shoulder. The off ramp was just ahead, and if she could get to it then she could get back on track...

As her car bumped along the rough edges of the road, she considered her options. Some were more acceptable than others. Then again, she didn't think she had time to care about what was "acceptable," in this situation.
When she reached the ned of the ramp, having perturbed many motorists, she turned in the direction with the least traffic, not caring where it led.

Suddenly, the flashing red and blue lights flickered in her side and rear-view mirrors. Emily's heart was in her throat she weighed her options. Was it worth running from the police? Her gas tank was nearly full-tilt. Before she knew it, Emily's foot was full down on the gas....

And with a shudder, her car lurched forward and promptly overheated. "Crap!" she thought. Sitting in traffic with her air conditioner on was never a good idea in this tempermental car. She pulled over to the shoulder and turned the engine off. Now she'd have to pay for a ticket AND major car repairs. The police car just sped by her however...

And slammed into a Cadillac El Dorado pulling out of Burger King. One of the occupants was thrown from the El Dorado and both cars spun wildly through the parking lot.
"That would have been me if my car hadn't overheated" she thought to herself. Just then she realized that she recognized the Cadillac - it belonged to ...

"Tom Grady was killed when his El Dorado smashed into the police car, Emily, and I find it quite a coincidence that he just broke up with you and you weren't taking it so well. Isn't that right, Emily?" Horatio asks with his carrot-top head gleaming in the sun as he takes off his sunglasses and stares hard at the smashed up El Dorado.

"Yes, H, it's true," Emily twanged in her southern drawl. "But this was not a murder, just an innocent accident."
Horatio whipped out his cell phone. "GenEric, I need you here now," he ordered his detective. Then H's steely blue eyes inspected every inch of the Cadillac until he spied....

...a small package in the passenger seat floor. It was wrapped in plain brown paper, and taped up tightly. Following his gaze, Emily also noticed the package. She started to reach for it when H. stopped her.

El Dorado's have a backseat. You're probably thinking of the El Camino which is basically a car with a pick up bed.

H. picked up the package and examined it carefully. The only thing written on the package was "To Emily" in big, black letters.
"I know my job asks for me to rely on facts, but I'm gonna pretend for a moment that you're the Emily this package was meant for. And since there's no address on it, it would appear to me that it was to be hand-delivered."
Emily started to speak, but H. stopped her. "Prior to the accident, a car matching your car's description was reported through the scanner to be driving mighty fast and out of control. And on the surface, it looks like Tom was pulling out of that Burger King in a hurry. I'll be honest with you, Emily, I need some answers, and I need them fast."
