Anyone watch this?
A friend lent me the first two seasons of this show and had the eps of season 3 still tivoed.
I LOVE season 1! Truly great hilarious fun! The bickering not-together-and-completely-opposites-attract couple of Booth and Bones with the socially inept squints is just great!
Not too impressed with season 2. Way too much soap opera sleeping with everyone crap, but the addition of Bones' family is cool and loved the "reacurring bad guy thing" with the *shivers* serial killer. The Brit shrink was just AWESOME. All those ep are terrific!
Season 3 was a bit of an improvement due to the sex crap getting dumped. The new shrink isn't nearly as great as the Brit one, and while the bad guy thats supposed to arc the whole season was a cool concept I don't think it was being done well enough that I almost was about to dump the show -- until about ep 5 or so when Bones and Booth got to bickering a bit again. The last ep to air (DARN FREAKING WRITERS AND STUDIOS! JUST SETTLE ALREADY! I HATE REALITY TV AND THAT'S ALL WE'RE GONNA HAVE IF YOU KEEP THIS UP!) had them kissing, and I am NOT happy with the kiss. Just because there is an attraction between two people DOES NOT mean they should get together. Relationships take more than attraction. SHEESH! A completely scientific person, who is an atheist should probably not be with a totally gut person, who supposedly is a devout Catholic who sleeps with anyone who looks at him. Great characters, but they need to stay partners -- not gf & bf! And they are PARTNERS. Partners should NOT get intimate -- big no-no.
Okay.....rant over ;D

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Grissom and Sara on CSI.
I love Bones. Emily Deschenel is very hot!

I love her portrayal of a very smart, very no nonsense woman. I love how she doesn't flaunt her body every two seconds either. Although she does have hideous clothes and rather clunky jewelry.... Booth was truly awesome in the first season, didn't like him much in the second, and I have hopes for him in the third....we'll see. Don't really watch CSI, but I did hear about Grissom and Sara and I wasn't impressed. I don't think coworkers should get together, but partners DEFINATELY shouldn't. Love the lady prosecutor! She completely rocks! And I love how she just orders Booth around -- the only other person who can do that is Bones! Now that the strike is over, we'll see if I keep this show or not.

I like this show. I was given the first season as a gift. Which then made me go out and rent the second season. I may have missed some of the episodes of the third season, but overall I've enjoyed the ones I've seen.
My new shows to watch: Bones, Prison Break, Supernatural... and I might still watch Lost. I'm considering dumping this show. I have the last two episodes dvr'd, but can't bring myself to watch them ... oh, actually... that would be the last 3 episodes, unless today's is back to reruns.
I've been still watching Medium, but they have been a bit lack luster. If it wasn't for dvr and the fast forward option, I'd probably watch a lot less t.v. I already watch less than most people I know.
I like to steno Supernatural because there is action, so I can try to catch up at those points. I'm only writing at between 100-120wpm right now. I attempted to steno (think of a live close captionist) Bones, but I just couldn't keep up.
You are right Shane; she is very pretty. I think her sister is adorable, too. I love Zoey Deschenel's singing voice. She sounds like a throw-back to the 40s or something. I don't know. I can't explain it. I also can't explain how she doesn't look like she's aged since Almost Famous. Explain that one!

Ugh. I can't stand Zoey Deschenel...she can't act and is completely emotionless.
Emily Deschenel on the other hand is fantastic. She is in my friend's theater group - I've never seen her in one of their plays, since she is busy with the tv show and stuff, but she was at a reading my friend hosted/starred in a couple months ago. She is gorgeous in real life.
I still watch Medium, but not regularly. It's one that I don't feel like I really missed anything if I miss an episode. Bones is the same way, actually. I'll watch it if nothing else is on.
I dumped Lost after the first season (I can't last more than one season with J.J. Abams shows. He annoys me any longer than that). Today's is new though (Mr. C is watching it right now. I am not paying any attention to it).
I watch way too much tv, but I'm usually (um, more like always) doing something else while I watch.
Right now:
Mondays: Bones (sometimes) or Big Bang Theory (whichever I feel like watching...I don't DVR either of them), How I Met Your Mother (definitely DVR'd), House, Wildfire (only two episodes left! Sniff!) Tuesday: Catch up on Monday's shows that I recorded but haven't watched yet. Wednesday: Top Chef Thursday: Ugly Betty, My Name is Earl, Scrubs, The Office, 30 Rock (we record the 8pm NBC shows while Mr. C watches Smallville in one room and I watch Ugly Betty in the other, then Mr. C watches Lost. Thursdays are crazy). Friday: DR. WHO!!!!!! (OMG, if you don't watch this show, you really should. First, you should get last season on DVD, then watch this season. I hated it until last season, but it got really really really good then. And if you watch the episode Blink, you will agree that it is a really great episode, but you will be forever freaked out by statues), then Mr. C likes Battlestar Gallactica. Usually we DVR these and go out though, so we catch up on them on Saturday. Saturday: Nothing for me (unless I can stay awake for SNL), but Mr. C watches Torchwood & Robin Hood on BBC America.
I can't even remember what night Medium is on. Heh.
Oh, and I watch lot of Law & Order (Criminal Intent or Special Victims Unit) reruns. I got addicted to those during the strike, and they are on almost 24/7.

Any thoughts on the 3rd season? I haven't been too impressed so far. It seems like the writers totally forgot what's already happened in season 1 and 2 and some of what has already happened in 3. I loved the episode with the baby .... maybe Bones might want kids after all.... The last episode when Booth inadvertantly helped Bones figure out how to save her father in court? Cool. Very, very cool. Still, this show isn't nearly as good as season 1.

FM, I haven't really watched consistently enough across the seasons to really see a big difference. I do think the whole Bones/Booth romance is silly - I think they make better partners than a romantic couple.

Shane, I really couldn't care any less for the cannibal badguy. I want to see the Grave Digger from Season 2! Bring on the Grave Digger!!!!!!!! He was freaking nasty and I want to see him get his!!!!! Seriously, I'd rather be killed and then eaten then buried alive and suffocate to death. The Grave Digger really needs to get payback. And it's personal! Hodgens and Bones have to get that guy! Plus I just can't see Booth forgetting what he did to his partner -- he'd want payback too.
Ms C, I completely agree with the stupid romance angle -- the sparking partners bit is much better and makes more sense. It's more the little things that are starting to get to me....character changes that piss me off. Booth is the social one and Bones isn't. But then when they are in therapy Bones says Booth is always talking about work and that SO isn't the case. It's like did the writers confuse the two characters or something? Then there's been three or more episodes discussing the fact that Booth was a jock and was a soldier and then suddenly it's a big surprise in the 3rd season that he's both of those things. There's more nitpicking stuff I've got, like certain issues they have already talked about and resolved that they have problems with again that they just shouldn't after what they've already gone through....just annoying to me.

Bones seems to be getting soft. I missed last night's episode (and will miss the next 4 weeks, or however much longer the season lasts...childbirth class calls. Maybe I will actually set it to record), but many of the episodes this season she's less matter of fact and more emotional. I don't like it. It's changing the character too much.
I do want to see her grow and change a bit, but it's just getting to be too much.

Ms. C, EXACTLY!!!! Both are changing too much and too out of character. Not happy either.

But I am a bit pissed....Booth is supposed to be able to read people and this time? What the heck happened?
Bones can really sing. She was good.
