Anyone see this? It's been only two episodes, but I like it. It's mainly because I just like vampires, but the show is good on its own merit. This last episode ended on a cliffhanger -- UGH, does it think it's Prison Break or something? ?? So -- any thoughts?

I love how one of the guys who worked on Angel came up with the totally original idea of doing a tv show about Vampires! Who are totally good and stuff! And have souls! (okay, I don't know if that's exactly true, but I have no interest in watching this, so that's okay. I just find it comical based on who created it).

And he's a private dective too Actually, there is no mention of souls. Basically, it's a weird mix of Blade, Forever Knight, Interview with a Vampire, and some Buffy/Angel. I like it -- and I'm curious to see if anyone else has watched and what they thought.

Actually, it's on CBS. It looked too nighttime soap opera-ish to me, so I've skipped this one. I do watch Ghost Whisperer before it and Numb3rs afterward.

I work Friday nights.... no one dvr'd Ghost Whisperer for me. I started to watch Numbers but it didn't really get my attention, so I turned it off. FM--- I did watch House though, and thought of you. (kind of sad though--- the last episode, that is, w/ the guy and his dog.) I'll have to ask my sister if she saw Moonlight. She's all about a hot vampire. (smile)

I don't like soaps, JB -- and this isn't one -- yet...oh crap, I just jinxed it! Never got into the Ghost Whisperer -- don't watch. I'll watch Numbers sometimes if I feel like staying up that late. Now that I'm back to two jobs and 80+ work week, my tv has been whitled down to Prison Break, Journeyman, and Moonlight. I'm not too worried about catching House on tv because I know I'll buy the DVDs (oh, I LOVE watching tv on DVD!). Prison Break is questionable -- I'll have to see how the next few episodes go -- the writers are letting me down and if they take Michael out of character or put in some other love interest or focus too much on Linc -- I am NOT buying the season so I have to carefully view each episode. Journeyman is interesting but not at DVD quality yet and Moonlight is equal to Journeyman. Yeah, House was a bit sad last night. I'm curious to hear what your sister thought of Moonlight if she saw it.

That's how my cousin feels, too. I'm gonna tell him he may want to give this show a try though. I dvr'd this past friday's episode and it was good enough to make me try to navigate through cbs.com's AWFUL system for watching shows online. (I've watched shows online on other stations and had no problems. The system and set up of the CBS site is awfully difficult to navigate.)
Anyway... I like the show.
It is not a Joss Whedon vampire world at all.... it's WAY MORE Anne Rice. I like vampires... plus there is eye candy for those who like that sort of thing.
Since I like Anne Rice and think the show is more inspired from that vein of vampire "lore"... I quite enjoyed it.
I'll be watching it next week for sure.

I only caught the end of Moonlight this week, but Mr. C watched more of it and he thought it was pretty terrible. I don't know that it's something I'll even give a chance.
I did get to watch Numb3ers (or, as I call it, Numbthreeers) though, which I never get to do (I'm not usually home on Friday nights). Does it make me a big geek because I was disappointed that it didn't have more math in it?

Nope... I used to like this show a lot... lately I don't care for it that much.... it hasn't been holding my attention.
Perhaps more math would have made a difference. Perhaps not.
As for Moonlight... It was very Interview with a Vampire... well, sort of.
I liked it and am interested enough to watch some more. I'm putting it in the same category as Bionic Woman for now. Not FABULOUS/ MUST SEE... but holds my attention and interests me.
I wish I had all my books here... I'd like to read Lestat again or the one about the Mayfair Witches... that was a good series, too.
I love me some Anne Rice.

See, I'm not really a fan of "vampire" stories. I love Dracula stories though (my all time favorite book is The Historian, and the original Dracula is high up on the list as well). I never saw Intereview with a Vampire or read any Anne Rice. I only got interested in Buffy because they did a musical episode. Heh.

Does it make me a big geek because I was disappointed that it didn't have more math in it? No, I'm the same way. That's why I started watching it in the first place - the math sets it apart from all the other crime procedurals! Did anybody else see the season premiere of Numb-three-ers? It actually had a pretty good twist, but I was surprised to see Val Kilmer as a special guest star.

Shut up... if I had known Val Kilmer was on it, I would have watched it before I erased it off of the dvr.

I suck the blood out of vampire stories. I've read 'em all from Bram Stoker to Anne Rice to Stephen King. Not so many good movies unfortunately but I'll keep an eye out for this show.
No C Thomas Howell at least.
