Johnny I did not see the 6 minute chicken fight, but I saw the Texas one and the only particulaly funny one I saw was when Stewie was found out and someone yelled "Hey,its one of those queerosexuals!!".
BUT: I can not say it is ready to say goodbye, yet. They might just be having a slump (like the one the simpsons have been having for a few years,I still love 'em though)and will come back from it .

Most of the episodes have been pretty stupid, but there are still enough one liners and funny scenes to keep me watching the reruns of them on Cartoon network.
Any show that brings the Jaw parody ("I'm gonna eat you. You better watch out, 'cause here I come. Although, I did have that boy on the raft earlier. But that's okay - I've been swimming a lot. Do doot. Do doot...") and my favorite quote of all time ("Mum...mum...mama...mother...mother...mum...mum...Lois...Lois...") isn't all bad.

I agree that it still has its moments. For example, this week the part with the Evil Monkey becoming a Jehovah's Witness and holding out the Watchtower booklet was hilarious. Every now and then an entire episode will be funny, fooling me into thinking it's back on track.
I'm just disappointed that it's nowhere near as consistent as the first three seasons and sometimes just downright stupid. They rely on old jokes far too often.
Maybe if they cancelled American Dad and let McFarlance concentrate solely on FG then it could get back on track.

I do not much like American dad but will watch it if I come across it.

If they moved Roger to Family Guy, I'd be all for cancelling American Dad (sorry, I just love the Paul Lyndeness of Roger!).
American Dad is mostly unfunny. Occassionally there will be a really funny line or two, but not enough to make me want to watch it on a regular basis (I really only watch it when I am too lazy to reach over and grab the remote to turn the channel...or when I'm barely paying attention to the fact that it is on).

I'll always love Family Guy. Stewie Griffin is the coolest!

Heh...I am so over Family Guy now. I don't even want to watch reruns of the older episodes anymore. I loved it one day, and the next I was just over it.
If they would stop doing the random (usually gross) jokes that have nothing to do with the plot but go on way too long, forever and ever, without end, and just don't seem to know when to stop (kind of like this sentence, but much, much longer), it might be funny again. It seems these days they fall back on that formula way too much though, and I am over it.

I love Family Guy, but its not as good as Boondocks these days I love Boondocks, it has to be the most political show in years. I can't wait for the new season. I haven't seen any ads for it but I ran into this on the net: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhlQA61f_rY
