Anyone remember this show from the late 90's? It's out on DVD now and I've been borrowing it from a friend who bought up to the 3rd season (he'll get around to the 4th soon).
Anyway, it's a pretty good show and the bonus features are decent and pretty entertaining. The commentaries are great. The producers were talking about this show they did that didn't last long and how they'd been joking with the star of The Pretender (Michael T. Weiss) that if he'd starred in it the show would still be on the air. Well, they got their feet in their mouths because apparently he HAD auditioned for the show and they hadn't hired him! It's these lovely tidbits that are the real reason we love and adore commentaries......
Anyway, the first two seasons are awesome, the third has some great episodes but major character deviation (I HATE that), and it's fun to see all the guest stars that were on the show. Pretty amazing how many people were on The Pretender who have been in some major blockbuster movies. Cool.

Oh yeah. The Pretender was one of the only shows I could ever watch with my mom. Its also the reason I never watch NBC on Saturdays.
Have you seen the episode (its during a later season, I forget which one) where Broots, Miss Parker (and maybe Sydney) were trapped at a hotel? I think the song Scrubs by TLC was mentioned. Easily the funniest episode.
TNT picked up reruns of the show and made two movies later on.

I've watched all four seasons now. I think I know what ep you are talking about called Cold Dick. VERY scary ep! Especially with Raines!
Yeah, and both movies didn't END. Clifhangers all the way. On the commentaries the creators want to do a thrid and final movie ending everything. I'm not holding my breath......
