Well, I watched the pilot of this show last week with great anticipation. I thought it was a really cool premise for a show: small Kansas town, nuclear bomb, mass hysteria, etc.
I came away a little let down overall. I think this show really wants to be Lost, but it just isn't for a number of reasons:
1. I didn't find any of the characters interesting enough to actually care about. 2. Not a trace of Evangeline Lily to be found. 3. Since when does Kansas have mountains? 4. People see a nuclear explosion and the best reaction they can manage is a wide-eyed stare? 5. No Evangeline Lily. 6. The "hero" speech at the end of the episode must've been what was left over from Independence Day. 7. Where's Evangeline Lily? Oh yeah... she's over on Lost.
Anyway, I may watch this a bit more until my show comes back on October 4th, but I'm not devoting much time to it.

I concur. The show even got good reviews which helped to fuel my interest. Then I sat there fairly bored for 45 minutes.
Major Dad's hero speech was the worst. Can somebody please give us an alternative to "If we stick together, as a community, then we can - no - we WILL beat this," melodrama? Sheesh.
It moves at the same snail's pace that ruined Invasion for me last season. Unless an alien or supernatural explanation gets thrown into the mix then this one has about two more weeks of shelf-life for me.
Sorry, but Skeet "Y'all Can Compare me to Johnny Depp Again if You Want!" Ulrich ain't enough to keep me coming back each week.
