While Project Runway is my worthwhile reality show, this is my guilty pleasure reality show.
I'm so rooting for Benji to win! (Not enough to call and vote, but enough to watch every week). The finale is tomorrow and Thursday night (I think...it's those nights as long as they haven't changed the schedule on me for the finale!).

I'm so rooting for Benji to win! (Not enough to call and vote, but enough to watch every week). The finale is tomorrow and Thursday night (I think...it's those nights as long as they haven't changed the schedule on me for the finale!). I guess I'll "man up" and admit that I watch this show. Though I'll use the excuse that I just watch it to see the hot gals shake their booties. Or I'll blame it on Stephanie. Either works. I wish Donyelle would leave already. I was hoping for a hottie trio of Heidi (I swear I'm not Reese Witherspoon!), Allison, and Natalie (representin' M-town!). Oh well. And though, on principle, I don't like male dancers; I have to admit that Benji sort of forces you to root for him. Oh, and it's not listed as coming on Thursday, so I guess we'll have to wait a week for the results.

I don't like Donyelle either. I didn't really like Natalie that much, but she had her moments. I also didn't like Allison - okay, I have figured out watching this show that I absolutely cannot stand contemporary style dancing. UGH!
I want Benjie to win, but I'll be happy if Heidi wins instead. Or Travis, as he really is the best technically (just not as much personality).

I completely agree about contemporary dancing. It looks silly and chaotic to me.
"Oh, but they're telling a story, Johnny!"
No, they're flailing their arms in the air and running around on stage with no real synchronicity. Give me Heidi's hip-shaking and foot work any day.
I just thought Allison was too adorable, and I really enjoyed watching her do the sexy Salsa routines.
I've been really annoyed with the show the last two weeks because it has become obvious that the judges have been pushing for Travis to win because he's a contemporary dancer and that's the style used in that stupid Celine Dion show that counts as the prize.
Mia Michaels was the worst last week with her totally biased opinion. She was Travis' teacher AND she's choreographing the Dion show, so why is it fair for her to be a judge? All she did was praise Travis and heavily criticize everybody else.
And then last night, after the final routine, I was rolling my eyes when Ms. Screech Box (Mary, the highly annoying judge) did her impersonation of a Banshee as she made some random comment about how everybody was great during the routine but Travis stood out.
No he didn't. Then gay boy (I'm making an educated guess on that description) also threw in a last second plug for Travis.
I just get annoyed when judges on shows like this and American Idol refuse to remain unbiased and start really trying to sway the crowd into voting for who the judges want to win.
Man oh man, I've put way too much thought into this.
Um, GUNS AND EXPLOSIONS RULE! GIVE ME CAR CHASES AND ELABORATE FIGHT SCENES!
That's what I meant to say.

Men only dance for one of two reasons:
1. They're trying to get/impress/obey a woman. 2. You figure it out.
I just can't get into this show, much like I cannot stomach "America's Got Talent." Here's a news flash, America: you don't.

Anytime Mary says anything, Mr. C and I start making screechy "sick cat" noises. Neeeerrrreeeee! That's what she sounds like to us. Seriously, that last routine rocked. But Travis was pretty much the only one I didn't notice in it. Everyone but him stood out to me. You know what though? Let him win. He'll go do that stupid show in Vegas, and Benjie and Heidi will move on to bigger and better things!

JB, you're not going to take this new dance-obsession too far and show up on the next installment of "Dancing with the Stars", now are you???
I caught one installment of SYTYCD a while back, and between the screechy judge and the attitude exuded by the contestants (I've known more than enough prancers - *ahem* - dancers in my day to know that 'tude when I see it... mostly evident in the choreography-learning stages...), I decided that it would be in my best interest to watch reruns of "The Office" instead.
But, good luck to your favorite contestants: Benji, Heidi, and Travis. I'll lend my support based on their names only: Go little dog! Go little girl of the mountains (played by Reese Witherspoon)! Go Ike!

SPOILER!!! * * * * * * * * * * * * * I missed the entire show last night! Grrrr...we went to a friend's house for dinner, and since I had to run an errand for my boss after work, I got home just in time to turn around and leave for my friend's house, completely forgetting to set the DVR. Sigh. I realized on the way home that the finale was on last night. So I missed them doing another performance of my favorite group dance from this season (the zombie one...not usually the style I like, but that was awesome!). I'm glad Benjie won though!
