[glow=red,2,300]La Cucaracha del Diablo: The Devil's Cockroach[/glow]
Starring: C. Thomas Howell, Lake Bell, and James Brolin
The Plot: A greedy and powerful industrialist (Brolin), is wiping out thousands of acres of Central American rainforest to set up a dangerous and illegal chemical plant. The waste products from the plant contaminate the surrounding areas, and begin to affect the local cockroach population adversely. Can our hero, (Howell) a down-and-out adventurer, and a beautiful yet tough-as-nails anthropologist (Bell), stop the terror?
The Climactic Scene: As the mutated and voracious cockroaches weave their bloody path of destruction, Howell and Bell have trapped the giant mother roach in the chemical plant, as Brolin is trying to stop them from exposing his evil deeds. Broiln is eaten by the giant roach in a gory and disgusting manner, allowing him a really good death scene.
Just before blowing up the chemical plant, the giant roach, and what's left of Brolin, Howell turns to Bell, winks, and wryly says: "Let's smoke this roach!"
In the end, we all learn a valuable moral about the evils of chemicals and the destruction of the rainforests.
Whaddya think? Any potential here?

Sounds good - but you need a supporting role for Danny Trejo in there somewhere!

I didn't initially realize this was in the "Movie Mark Originals" section and I was thinking this was real. Lake Bell better be running around in a bikini the whole time. Surface takes care of this problem by setting itself near water, thus requiring her to spend large amounts of time in or near said water. Great plot device.
"She's a marine biologist! She HAS to run around in a bikini!"
But back to the subject... it's a good entry. If you don't mind I'll post it on the main page. With your approval I'd like to make some mention of James Brolin as "Josh's less-talented father."

Hey, post this by all means. I'm open to any praise, suggestions, improvements, or whatever. (Mostly praise.) Here's hoping James Brolin will see this and get behind it! (I can't imagine he's got anything better on the horizon!)

Are you sure this isn't a review of "Mimic"?
