So, a LONG time ago, I endeavored to write a fan fiction story. I had about half of it written at home, and had posted maybe 1/3 of it somewhere... some fan fiction website. My trouble: I don't know where I posted it at!!! I've been using Firefox as my web browser for some time, and finally today I said, I have to get on explorer again and look up my bookmarks, because that site is saved there. Only Explorer had some new thing/version, and my old bookmarked pages aren't there anymore. I've tried searching online for the site, but either its gone or changed formats, because nothing looks familiar. All I remember about this site is (at least the fan fiction part of it) that it was a forum-style format, and that I was posting each chapter separately under a "Ms. Ang" thread. The title was "Ashes to Ashes" but I don't know if that was included in my posts or not. Did I by any chance point anyone to go read it? does anyone else post stories on a site like this? I think I sent it to someone else besides JB to beta read it for me, but who? Beth, maybe? I feel so stupid, you guys. I guess it's not THAT big of a deal, I can just post it somewhere else once I get it finished, but I really wanted to do it at the same site, since that's where I started it, you know? My work hours have been cut way down and my husband is out of state on an internship for 8 weeks, so I've been watching my good ol' TYR DVD's, and have been inspired to finally finish that story! ;D

Yes!!!! Yes it is!! *sniff* How did you find it?? **cries a little** I searched for a LONG time yesterday. Neat. I think that board has seen better days. Not too much on it was recent. But that makes me feel better that other people haven't posted story stuff since 2005 either!

I remembered it was one of the two remaining YR message boards that still had any semblance of traffic flow, so I headed over there to see if your stories were posted and sure enough, there they were.

How come no one barely ever posts stuff on TYR websites anymore? Why was there a heydey a few years ago? Was that when they were on TV or something? I would have thought that the season 1 release would have given those sites a resurgence. Thoughts?

I would have thought that the season 1 release would have given those sites a resurgence. Thoughts? My guess is that my Rider Reviews were at their hottest at the time, thus all the buzz. Never fear, I DO have a new review on the way. Don't be surprised to see a resurgence follow...

Everything JB says is true.
Also, it was big about 6-10 years ago, though it was not really on TV. That's when most of the websites sprang up. Unfortunately, there were many differences of opinion on many issues that couldn't be resolved, so everyone split up into sub-groups. Some of which are still around...only smaller. We should all unite on one message board but I think no one will ever agree to which one. Also, I guess a lot of people have moved on to other interests (both internet and other) and don't have time for posting anymore.

Ann's right - I think a lot of people have just moved on to other interests now. I know my life has changed a lot since I was really active in the TYR fandom - I've graduated college, moved across the country, become a working adult (boooo!) and gotten married. There are just so many hours in the day - I don't have the time to post much anywhere!
I think it would be cool if there was one big message board and everyone from the fandom could come back and post there. I haven't been to any of the boards or sites in so long, I don't think I even know where they are anymore!
I'm still waiting for Season 2 on DVD though - do you guys realize it's been almost a year since Season 1 was released?

*kiss, kiss* Thank you. That made me all warm and fuzzy inside. I will try to read that again this weekend and work on it some more.

I was a lousy friend because I didn't give you feedback like I maybe should have... (berates self)... I agree also that the TYR sites should unite under one main banner. If I buy a TYR-centric domain, is anybody interested in helping me out with it? I already co-run KyleXY.net and we're booked to overflowing there. (250,000+ hits/month + podcasts on iTunes + actual cast interviews etc.) I would do pretty much anything legal to participate in such an entity.
