Hi Johnny,
I was just (re)reading the rider reviews, and the season 1 wrap-up in particular, and too bad I didn't know about the RR back when the reader quiz took place, because i soooo would have voted for the following as the Worst Line Uttered During Season 1:
Remember in the pilot when Katy got hurt and Kid was in the middle of nowhere and had made a fire and was all about to shoot her when Sam pops up out of nowhere to save the day? Well did anyone catch Kid's reaction to Sam showing up? He says "Marshall!"in this really really dorky way. It's really funny; I rewound it and watched it so many times.
MY runner up for worst line would be another one uttered by Kid--in Speak No Evil, when Ike is in jail, and the riders go to tell him that Buck's been kidnapped and Kid goes "We'll find him for ya, you betcha!" or something really super corny like that. it wasn;t the line so much, as how he said it. In fact, when I had my Young Riders party (a smashing success, fyi), my friend sitting next me was like "That was really funny"when he heard Kid say that line. This is the same guy who, when we were watching the very beginning of the pilot, when Kid first spots Katy in the barn, was like "Is this a porno?"
Anyway those are my two cents.

Hi Johnny, I was just (re)reading the rider reviews, and the season 1 wrap-up in particular, and too bad I didn't know about the RR back when the reader quiz took place, because i soooo would have voted for the following as the Worst Line Uttered During Season 1: Remember in the pilot when Katy got hurt and Kid was in the middle of nowhere and had made a fire and was all about to shoot her when Sam pops up out of nowhere to save the day? Well did anyone catch Kid's reaction to Sam showing up? He says "Marshall!"in this really really dorky way. It's really funny; I rewound it and watched it so many times. Oh yeah. His voice was all wobbly and shaky, in an attempt to convince us he was about to cry. He ended up sounding like a 5-year-old stifling his tears. Just about every line Kid tried to deliver with any sort of enthusiasm came off as quite corny, thus accentuating the brilliance of Jimmy's "Oh golly" remark to him. Kid truly was the Burt Ward Robin of TYR. I went back and started reading the Season 1 wrap-up, and man is that some funny stuff. Sometimes I allow my modesty to cause me to forget how hilarious I truly am. I've finally found the last charge of motivation to finish up the Blood Moon review...
