OK, so my official sources still haven't been able to confirm the DVD rumors; however, tvshowsondvd.com has listed the shows that they fully expect to be released on DVD within the year. They rely on studio information, so it's fairly accurate.
They had a 78% prediction rate for last year, and some of the DVDs that they said would be released in 2005 ended up being held over for 2006.
Anyway, TYR is on their 2006 list. They didn't give any dates, but hope shines a little brighter today...

That is great news but strange that they haven't informed Spielman. Is it too much to hope that we'll get seasons 1-3. I'd be very happy with just season 1. Imagine if someone bothered to make extra features. I guess that's not happening if Ed hasn't been approached.

Imagine if someone bothered to make extra features. I guess that's not happening if Ed hasn't been approached. They haven't informed Josh Kane either. I think it's reasonable to assume that there'll be no special features. This is very disappointing because Mr. Spielman contributed to the Kung Fu DVDs, and he stated that he'd contribute to TYR DVDs if he were asked. I would've loved commentary on at least a few episodes. They could've gotten cast members to come in an do commentary on the episodes that centered around them and they would've made all the fans happy. My guess is they'll see how Season 1 does on DVD and then decide whether or not to do the other two seasons. I say make it easier on all of us and release all three at once.
