You guys crack me up lol. But you make me look forward even more to really getting into this show! I cant wait to find enough time to sit down and watch a few more episodes. Gotta go to my sons school tonight though so hopefully tomorrow I can watch some more.
And in case anyone is interested, I DO have this series on dvd-r discs. Great quality. I can make copies. But just so you all know i am NOT here just for that. I'm here because I'm a new fan and want to watch all of these shows and then discuss them with other fans. That is a lot of fun. I am so thrilled to find an active message board. I hate when shows die off and fans just go away. As far as I'm concerned, a good show is worth watching over and over and over again lol.
Seriously though, if anyone is interested in getting this series on dvd lmk. I have all 3 seasons but I am missing 3 eps from season 3. I have an excellent reputation on ebay and on several dvd trading groups. I'm not like a lot of these other people who I see posting the sets for 100.00 or more! That is just outrageous!
I basically just need to cover my costs of the blank media, shipping supplies, and shipping, etc.

Rhiannon, did I not tell you how he proposed? I could have sworn I did! Anyway, we went to Tucson for my birthday this year and Kirsten made up this whole thing about how she had to go pick up something at Old Tucson Studios for the show she was in that night, so we went there and he took me to the cemetary and reenacted the whole scene, line for line!
Artino2, if you want another message board that is (kinda) active about TYR try the AYRF board (http://ayrf.proboards32.com) It's kind of off and on with the activity, but there are some great people on that board. There's also other boards out there somewhere, but I don't have any of the links on my computer at work (and the computer at home broke, so I basically lost them all anyway). I don't know how many are still active, but there's at least one or two, I'm sure:)

No, you never told me!!! That is so incredibly sweet. Even though I don't know him, since he knew you well enough to do that, and actually *did* that, I know you are meant to be The Express Station Message Board has had a few cool people hanging around recently - just enter "Express Station Message Board" into google and you'll be there

Wow, I thought I was mistaken when I read it and had to read it twice to make sure.
I knew it! Next I'll read where you'll talk about how buff Buck is in his vest.
MsCali that sounded so great. If it was an extra on the DVD I would be sure to watch it. (And be extremely jealous!)

Ms Cali (You must be A___ee? How did I not figure it out before now?)
I didn't hear about that proposal either. That's amazingly romantic. I haven't seen that ep. in a while, I'm going to dig it out now.
OK, I'll say something nice about Kid. He was very necessary on the show. He and Jimmy balance each other out and when he/Ty smiles, you can see the inner goodness of his heart. It's nice he tried so hard to be good considering he suffered an abusive childhood.
[shadow=blue,left,300]He's just not sexy or charismatic.[/shadow]

Hey Ann! Yep, it's me.
I like what you said about Kid (the first part anyway)...we'll just say the second part is all a matter of what kind of taste you have, I guess. Jimmy was just too angsty for me (I liked him when he was happy, but I just can't stand moody angst). I do have to say, Josh Brolin is REALLY hot these days.

I really do hope The Young Riders comes out on DVD. I loved that show and haven't seen it in ages! Do reruns still air on any stations at all? BTW I am new to the board - happened to find it while googling Young Riders. ;D

BTW I am new to the board - happened to find it while googling Young Riders. ;D Welcome, Blazegirl! Unfortunately, there are currently no Young Riders reruns in the U.S. I hear tell that reruns are on in some other countries, but that does me no good. Last I remember, the Hallmark Channel had the rerun rights, and TYR was part of a successful block of Western shows - I think it was called Wild West Saturday (or whatever day it aired on), so I have no idea why they stopped airing it.

So they could run Little House on the Prairie six times a day instead of five.
Seriously, it seems like every time I go past Hallmark on the Directv guide it's either Little House or an infomercial.
Not that there's anything wrong with Little House (it was my TYR before TYR was on), but seriously. NOBODY needs to see it that much.

Are the DVDs made from the ABC originals? Or are they from the cable reruns? Do they contain all opening and closing credits? Are commercials cut out?

They were taped from the lifetime channel, they have the opening and closing credits and they do have the commercials. I am missing 3 episodes (the plays the thing, dark brother, and spies)
The quality is just as clear as watching it on tv. I've already sent out a few sets and the people were VERY happy with them.

New on site i watched the young riders here in New Zealand and i purchased all 3 seasons off ioffer. It was amazing i had some of the series that i had taped fron t.v that had footage that was not shown on the dvds. So my question is when the series comes out will it be cut or uncut

So my question is when the series comes out will it be cut or uncut I don't think you need to worry - it'll be uncut. The DVDs you got were probably recorded from repeats on The Family Channel, Oygen, or The Hallmark Channel. Those networks often made nasty cuts so they could fit in more commercials.

Hello all, new to the board but gotta say I went absolutely nuts when I found season 1 of the young riders had finally been released. I watched the entire series fanatically as a teenager with my father, and was disappointed when it was pulled.
I looked for it for years and then finally gave up, just started looking again last month and found it. I just finished season 1 last night and gotta say it took me back, but of course now I'm ticked to find seasons 2 and 3 aren't even on the horizon.........anybody know where to get ahold of them at?
