As soon as he missed the third one he fell to the floor and put his head in his jersey. He had to be helped off the court by one of his teammates and coach Cal. Absolutely the most gut-wrenching play I've ever witnessed. I was on the edge of my seat and when that 3rd free throw bounced around the rim three times and then refused to fall in the goal I was just in shock. But that game is why I'm a college basketball fan, and it's why the NBA can never hold a candle to the NCAA. Movies aren't this entertaining, folks. You want drama? You want excitement? You want suspense? It was all in this game. Unfortunately, it played out like a movie where the bad guy won. Had Darius made all three free throws to send us to the NCAA tournament, then it's definitely a game I would've liked to transfer to DVD and show my kids and grandkids. With the recruiting class we've got coming in next year, I'll be shocked if the Tigers don't make a healthy NCAA run next year.

I'm not even from Memphis and I still feel horrible about what happened at that game. I wonder how long it'll take Washington to get over it. I hate hearing people discuss it. I didn't even really read any of the posts on this thread, I just glanced. And in all objectivity, I hope Louisville loses bad and early in the NCAA tournament. I HATE YOU RICK PATINO, YOU AL PACINO WANNABE! Calipari is DA MAN!!

Wow, it must suck to live anywhere other than NC this time of year. 4 NC-based ACC schools in the tourney, 5 NC-based schools altogether in the tourney.
Ah Johnny, you were funny. My cream puff reply was even funnier.

Ah Johnny, you were funny. My cream puff reply was even funnier. Well, unfortunately, you ended up being right. N.C. State is in the tournament and Memphis isn't. But next year will be a different story! Yes, indeed, a different story it shall be.

Go ahead, enjoy it while you can. But hey, at least we did crush Charlotte less than two weeks ago, so that's something!

Shawne Williams did not turn in the papers to be in this years draft, so he will be coming to the UofM afterall . I look for the Tigers to go up in some of the early rankings. There is going to be a press conference tomorrow.

There is going to be a press conference tomorrow. This is definitely huge news. Our recruiting class for next year has 4 guys in the top 100. I'm definitely looking for us to advance to the Sweet 16 or further.
