The Grizzlies need to hurry up and get a good center. They have good trade values in Swift and Wells. They need to get somebody with experience. I was hoping to get Dampier, but Dallas got him. I hope West can work his magic and get us somebody before the season starts.

But with west, you never know what he'll pull out of his sleeve. I just don't know who you could get at this point, unless it's somebody like Eddie Curry.

There were some trade talks about us getting Eddy Curry, but its gone done hill. Big Jake is a good backup, but he needs to start getting better.

I think almost everbody hates the Lakers. The Lakers aren't going to be as good as last year, because Shaq's isn't there.

I can't believe the Grizzlies waived Bo Outlaw. He was one of the best defenders we had. They should have gotten rid of Ryan Humphrey. The guy was on the IR last year until the final two games. I think it was a bad move.

Oooohhhh...talk like that about the Lakers could get you fired in my company! I'm actually a big Lakers fan, but I liked them before Shaq and Kobe and before they won like four straight years (three? I don't remember). I now like basketball better than baseball though:) I once saw Shaq at a restaurant here in LA so that was cool (what was cool was that I actually recognized him - I never recognize anyone). I don't know if they can do as well without him, but I don't care:) Frankly, I was shocked that they even made the playoffs last year to begin with.

I went to the Grizzlies game last night. The Grizzlies played well the first half. They got smoked in the second half. The new arena is awesome. I can't wait for the Tiger Basketball season to start.

The Grizz started the season 0-4, but last night they killed the Lakers. They were winning by as much as 30. Last night showed the Grizzlies of last year. In the first four games I didn't know what team was out on the court. Let's go Grizzlies!!!

I went to the Grizzlie game last night and, as usual, had a great time. I had quit watching the NBA all together before the Grizzlies came to town. I love the Grizzlies and they are getting close to being in the same ballpark as my love for the Cardinals, but I'm afraid they'll always be a distant second. I'll be honest though, I never thought that Memphis would become a Grizzlie town like it has though...does anyone else think that the Grizzlies have replaced the tigers in order of importance here? I'm a razorback fan, so they have always been first for me, but it really seems more interest has been given the Grizzlies than the Tigers...any comment? (Of course, it could just be that the Tigers suck...lol...sorry)

(Of course, it could just be that the Tigers suck...lol...sorry) I'd have to say that it's the fairweather nature of this town. The Grizzlies are starting to play well right now, whereas the Tigers aren't, so the Grizzlies are considered more important. But just watch, next year if the Tigers improve (as they should) and look to make a deep tournament run, and if the Grizzlies stagnate and don't show much improvement, then everybody will be behind the Tigers again. Most Memphians support whoever is winning the most. I, however, will always prefer the Tigers, even during harsh seasons like this year.

Don't you just hate fairweather fans? I haven't been a fan of the Grizzlies long enough to know how much I would support them if the started losing after being good...however, I did support them when they were horrible the first couple of years here. I never understand people who stop cheering their team when they start losing...Your team should be your team, win or lose. I'm sorry I said the Tigers sucked...I feel bad and will now repent in sackcloth and ashes

Your team should be your team, win or lose. I'm sorry I said the Tigers sucked...I feel bad and will now repent in sackcloth and ashes Don't worry about it. Unfortunately, you were right. The Tigers deserve the criticism this year. Man it's painful watching them. As for the Grizzlies, I wasn't a huge fan when they first started. Ever since Larry Bird retired, I've mainly just paid attention to college basketball. So I had the whole "you're gonna have to win me over attitude" with the Grizzlies. And I have to admit, I now find myself keeping up with them and wishing them well. I've only been to one game, but I'll check 'em out on TV every now and then.
