So far it looks like the Cardinals and Yankees will meet in this years World Series. The two teams have the best lineups in the major league. The two teams also have the best starting rotations. It's not certain that these two teams will even make the World Series. Last year the wild card Marlins won it all. So who has the best chance of knocking this two power houses out of the playoffs in October.

The thing that could hurt St. Louis is their weak bullpen. That can make a huge difference in a short playoff series. But who can take 'em out? I don't see Los Angeles doing it. And Atlanta is too inconsistent. I think the Cubs are one of the more talented teams in the league, and if they can hold on to the Wild Card, I think they have the best chance of putting together a run and taking out the Cards.
As far as the AL goes, I'd say the Angels have the best chance of knocking off the Yankees. Just look what they've done head-to-head this year. The Yanks have a good rotation, but they're also getting old.

Who do you think will get the AL wild card? There are three teams: Boston, Anaheim, and Texas.

Who do you think will get the AL wild card? There are three teams: Boston, Anaheim, and Texas. The Angels. They're riding a 7-game winning streak and have the best overall talent I think. Their recent sweep over the Yankees shows they mean business.

The Yankees are going to the World Series this year and we're going to win because I went all through middle school without them losing and I would like to leave high school with them atleast winning one World Series. Haha, I make Cubs fans mad. "Shut up, Amber. We haven't won a World Series since 1908! I just hope I get to see them win one before I die!!" Atleast I don't have that problem. Well, whoever thought this section up, it was a good idea!

My dream World Series would be the Cubs v. the Angels, with the Cubs winning...but barely.
You know, Amber - I'm one of those Cubs fans you were talking about:)
But I'm from Anaheim (even though we moved away when I was 8), so I'm an Angels fan too...
Not that I've even followed baseball very closely the past few years...

The three teams everybody should watch out for are the Cardinals, the Yankees, and the Angels. All three teams have the potential to win the World Series. My prediction for the World Series is the Cardinals and the Yankees. This series would probably be the best series in a while. The series would go to game seven and I hope that the Cardinals win . I'm not a Yankee hater, but they have over 20 championchips.

Yea, if the Cards and Yanks do go it will be a good series. It'll be tough for the Yanks, too. Look what happened last year! Oh well, I'm still riding high on Game 7 of the ALCS. That was the postseason right there. Boston thought they had it but they were wrong! But the 2001 World Series was horrible!! Especially the next day at school when the kids started chanting "DIAMONDBACKS! DIAMONDBACKS!!" Well, look at the D-Backs now. Muahahaha.I think a great World Series ( if there can be a great one without the Yanks would be the Cubs vs. Red Sox. I like the Cubbies and I hope they win a World Series but not against the Yanks. I also would like to see the Rangers win, too. Mostly because they were crap with A-Rod (who I like but Alfonso is still the man!) and now they're doing good with my man Alfonso! Atleast they were doing good. I haven't been able to keep up in a while! Well, I better start studying because I could sit here all night talking baseball and Tiger football!!

Last year I thought it was going to be the Cubs and the Red Soxs. Both of them got beat in game seven. I want both of them to get a championchip because they both deserve it. It's those stupid curses that have kept them from getting championchips . I just hope that one of them wins a championchip soon.

Cubs v. Red Sox would be cool too, as long as my mom and I are still across the country from each other (she grew up in Boston).
Of course, if the Yankees make it, and they are playing against anyone but the Angels or Red Sox, I'd be rooting for them...they're the team that I never want to actually make it to the Series, but once they do, I usually like them better than the other team...especially the Cards (I was in my senior year of college in MO when the Sammy Sosa/Mark MacGuire rivalry was at its highest, so I became quite sick of the Cards).
Or the Braves. I hate the Braves (ducks knowing how many southerners are on this board)...

Every year the Braves lose key players and they still lead their division. I believe the division sucks. The defending champs are in that division, but it was a fluke that they even won. The World Series should have been the Cubs and Yankees. Everything would have gone according to plan, but that stupid fan had to mess everything up.

Why do you hate the Red Soxs. They're the reason the Yankees are so good. What would happen if the Red Soxs didn't trade Babe Ruth? Would the Red Soxs have all those titles? You should actually be thanking the Red Soxs.

Well one reason I hate them is because they play dirty. Jerks.
