Anyone else seen this movie? I kept seeing pieces of it on cable (this was 5-6 years ago) and so I finally just bought it. I like the story and love the line that they got the title from, and of course Jude Law is super cute in it. I did NOT like the girl... too lazy to look up her name right now. But, then I saw her in "The Notorious Betty Page" and she was amazing. I have to think then it was bad writing and bad directing or something that made me dislike her character in this one so much. The bad part of this movie is its excessive use of the sappy Savage Garden ballad- it's in the movie three separate times!!!  |

Could that be Gretchen Mol (too lazy to open another window too)? If so, she starred opposite Josh Brolin in 'Picnic'. A very underwhelming talent with an annoying voice.
I think I have seen this movie. I didn't even realise Jude Law was in it. I guess I didn't know who he was back then. Wacky film but I seem to remember enjoying it.
(Just looked it up. It is Gretchen Mol).

Yes! That's the name. I was SO pleasantly surprised at her as Betty. ( good movie btw)
Hmm... will have to look up this "picnic" movie. Never heard of it.
Music from another room has many charming sub-plots. I love the crazy family: the russian obsessed mom, the crazy manic-depressive wife, the cute romance between the blind sister and waiter...
Hmm.. makes me want to watch it again!
