Well my local blockbuster sucks things are not in even remote alphabetical order, they don't have anything back past 2004 and the customer service isn't all that great. Is the only way to get older/obscure movies to go to an independent type movie store?
P.S this is Nabe3/Samf56 I think i finaly found something I like.

Your best bet is probably finding them online. Do you have anything specific in mind?

A half-price bookstore is also an idea - but it's obviously hit-or-miss... You could hit the jackpot if "quirky, artsy film buff dude with a massive dvd collection" has to sell some of them to finance his student film or his obligatory pilgrimage to Hollywood, but good luck otherwise...
Maybe your local library? Most have a dvd section now... they may have some real gems... (you may take that seriously or sarcastically... )
