Did anyone else besides me catch the first episode? I thought it was pretty good. Not in a league with BSG or Lost, but entertaining. Its good to see Robin with an English accent (paging Kevin Costner) and a total plus is he's cute. Its also PG which I found surprising, coming from the BBC.
Its playing again at 6 today and Tuesday at 9 and Wednesday at 12 am.

I checked it out yesterday. I enjoyed it. Much seemed to be a bit much, but I loved spunky Marian. "Going to show them the pleasure of your company?"
Guy wasn't that bad looking either.

That was a favorite scene of mine too. Ok, lets be honest all the scenes between Robin and Marian I loved. But this one showed his green side when she went off with Guy which made me squeal. Much was a little iffy sometimes but that one scene where he was thinking about the Crusades really made me pause. I like this more than the movie because in the movie his character is forced into doing the role while here he chooses it because it is the right thing to do. Would Kevin Costner's Robin even stand up if his place and father wasn't gone? At the main BBC website www.bbc.co.uk/drama/robinhood/ there is an episode guide (which I am a sucker and totally read about the whole season I have no will power!) and some games. I played the Robin one and I didn't even qualify I was so bad.

They are playing the first two episodes Tuesday night at 8.
Sadly, I am no better at the game.

Started watching it -- I'm not a big fan of British humor -- and it was too over the top/corny for me. Didn't finish but I'm glad you all like it.

I like the show and have started dvr'ing it. I can see the cheese/corn factor a bit that FM describes... but I'm used to BBC productions --- years of my mom watching Dr. Who, so in comparison... this is almost Shakespearean. Marion is spunky, Kevin Kostner was a horrible Robin Hood--- Alan Rickman was good though, funny. --- oh and although I agree with you when you said that it's nice to hear an English accent, there have been a couple times when Robin speaks that I hear an Irish accent. My sister said I was crazy, so I looked him up on IMBD.com and he was infact born in Ireland, but grew up in England... so who knows. I still took it as a triumphant moment of in your face to my sister.

Mr. C has been watching this. It didn't really hold my interest enough to watch it from week to week, but if I happen to be in the room while he's watching it, well, I'm usually working, but it's a good background show.
