I never watched this when it was on Showtime (really, does anybody actually get Showtime?), but now that it's rerun on the Sci-Fi channel every Tuesday, I am finding myself hooked. The main character was annoying at first, but she grew on me. Mandy Patinkin is awesome, as usual, and the rest of the cast is decent. No real standouts among them, imo, but I like them well enough. The stories are interesting and original. So if you haven't seen it, you should check it out. Two episodes on every Tuesday night on Sci Fi.

I don't have any premium movie channels.... sometimes wish that I had HBO for the fantastic shows... however, I will say that Showtime does have some good shows as well.
I did NOT know that Dead like me was originally on Showtime. I've seen the first and second? season I believe from free rental deal I had at Hollywood video. Anyway... I thought the show was pretty good.
I loved Queer As Folk (originally... was a snob about it and thought the Showtime version was too Mtv, but eventually came to like it as much as the original British version). My friend and I used to have "date night"... he loved the L-Word and it never interested me at all. It turned out to be okay. I've heard the show Weeds is quite good too, but i've never seen it so I can't really give an opinion one way or the other.
I don't remember Dead Like Me that much... but I remember that I liked it enough to rent the entire seasons/episodes that they had avail. at the video store. (And less controversial than the other Showtime shows that I mentioned).
